Maryappa Choudappa Naik, a young farmer of Hakkalkeri brought 25 kg of &amp;lsquo;Raksha 10.5&amp;rsquo; variety of paddy seeds from the Krishi Vigyan Kendra and noticed during the harvest that one of the sheaves of paddy was violet in colour. He collected the seeds separately out of curiosity.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
He prepared a separate bed for these seeds and found that the saplings too were of violet in colour. He planted the saplings on about a gunta. The paddy crop is healthy and nearing harvest. Though Bedasgaon is draught-hit this year, this variety has not been affected.&lt;br /&gt;

He collected the seeds separately out of curiosity.&lt;br /&gt;

He prepared a separate bed for these seeds and found that the saplings too were of violet in colour. He planted the saplings on about a gunta. The paddy crop is healthy and nearing harvest. Though Bedasgaon is draught-hit this year, this variety has not been affected.&lt;br /&gt;

He collected the seeds separately out of curiosity.<br /><br />He prepared a separate bed for these seeds and found that the saplings too were of violet in colour. He planted the saplings on about a gunta. The paddy crop is healthy and nearing harvest.
