Initially after the pharmacy near Tuticorin new bus stand was inaugurated on May 24 this year, medicines worth Rs.35,000 were sold at a discount every day. But, since September the revenue touched Rs.1 lakh daily. This pharmacy achieved a sale of Rs.74,86, 228 in 117 days.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Further, door delivery facility was also available, he said. These pharmacies were being open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all days in a week.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hence, the Collector appealed to the residents to avail this facility.

Initially after the pharmacy near Tuticorin new bus stand was inaugurated on May 24 this year, medicines worth Rs.35,000 were sold at a discount every day. But, since September the revenue touched Rs.1 lakh daily. This pharmacy achieved a sale of Rs.74,86, 228 in 117 days.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Further, door delivery facility was also available, he said. These pharmacies were being open from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. on all days in a week.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Hence, the Collector appealed to the residents to avail this facility.

These pharmacies were functioning at three locations in Tuticorin and Kayathar to benefit the poor and the middle income group people.<br /><br />Medicines to the tune of Rs.92,89,647 had been sold in 298 days since the launch of Amma Pharmacy in the district. Around 350 consumers were using these pharmacies, daily. Initially after the pharmacy near Tuticorin new bus stand was inaugurated on May 24 this year, medicines worth Rs.35,000 were sold at a discount every day. But, since September the revenue touched Rs.1 lakh daily. This pharmacy achieved a sale of Rs.74,86, 228 in 117 days.<br /><br />Further, door delivery facility was also available, he said.
