बीपीएल कार्ड से देश भर में मिलें सुविधाएं

नई दिल्ली। गरीबी रेखा के नीचे जीवन यापन करने वाले लोगों के लिए दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट ने सरकार को एक महत्वपूर्ण सलाह दी है। कोर्ट ने कहा है कि गरीबी रेखा के नीचे [बीपीएल] वाले परिवारों को उनके राज्य ही नहीं, बल्कि देश के किसी भी हिस्से में सरकारी अस्पतालों से स्वास्थ्य संबंधी सुविधाएं प्रदान की जाए। अदालत ने सरकार से कहा है कि इसके लिए बीपीएल कार्ड को पूरे देश के लिए वैध किया जाए। दूसरे राज्यों में आकर मजदूरी करने वाले श्रमिकों की समस्याओं का जिक्र करते हुए हाई कोर्ट ने यह सुझाव दिया है। कोर्ट का कहना था कि बीपीएल कार्ड की वैधता केवल धारक के गृह राज्य में होने के कारण उसे दूसरे राज्यों में इसका लाभ नहीं मिल पाता है। दिल्ली हाई कोर्ट के अनुसार, अगर कोई व्यक्ति किसी राज्य में बीपीएल घोषित है तो उसे वहां भी जन स्वास्थ्य संबंधी सुविधाएं मिलने का आश्वासन होना चाहिए, जहां कहीं भी वह कामकाज के सिलसिले में जाता है। अदालत ने एक प्रवासी श्रमिक की याचिका की सुनवाई करते हुए यह फैसला दिया, जिसकी पत्नी की दिल्ली में उचित इलाज के अभाव में मौत हो गई थी, क्योंकि उसका बीपीएल कार्ड बिहार से जारी हुआ था।
