                <div style="text-align: justify">-PTI</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Over one lakh people are reeling under the impact of the third wave of floods in six districts of Assam as the rising water of the Brahmaputra River inundated vast areas of human habitation and cropland.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">The Brahmaputra River at Nematighat in Jorhat district and Dhansiri River at Numaligarh in Golaghat district, Gai Nadi in Dhemaji district and Singora in Lakhimpur district, besides Jia Bhoroli in Lower Assam's Sonitpur district were flowing above the danger level, official sources said today.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">No loss of human life has been reported so far.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Incessant rain in the catchment areas were causing the flood situation to turn serious in the districts of Lakhimpur, Dhemaji, Golaghat, Sonitpur, Baksa and Kamrup, sources said.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Four relief camps have been set up in Baksa district where 23,000 people are taking shelter and another 296 in two relief camps in Baksa district.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Relief and rehabilitation measures have been undertaken by the administration for the succour of the flood victims, the sources added.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">In the worst-ever floods to hit the state during the last decade, 126 people lost their lives this year during the first and second wave of floods, while 631 animals perished in the world famous rhino habitat Kaziranga National Park.</div>               </font>
