They were drowned in the swollen Mahananda and Nagar rivers, according to Barsoi SDO Mahendra Paul.</p><p align="justify">In Purnia's Buwari and Lasanpur panchayats in Baisi sub-division, two people met their watery grave when they were drowned in the swollen Mahananda and Parman rivers, taking the toll in Purnia district alone to 16, according to Baisi SDO Sanjay Kumar.</p><p align="justify">Barsoi SDO told TOI on Tuesday that the kin of the bereaved families were already given relief of Rs 1,500 each for burial under the &quot;Kabir Antyesti&quot; scheme.
