&lt;br /&gt;
While police officers remained tight-lipped over the findings of the CFSL/Central Bureau of Investigation (New Delhi) report, sources said it mentioned that the recorded conversation was in contextual continuity. No abrupt change in the phase of speech signal could be detected. No change in background noise pattern throughout the recording could be observed. Hence, the recorded conversation in the CD could not have been tampered with, said the report.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
However, the report also stated that complete examination for authenticity of the recorded conversation could be carried out if the original recording was made available for examination.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On the other hand, Truth Labs &amp;mdash; one of the two laboratories through which Mr. Bhushan got the CD tested &amp;mdash; stood by its report on Thursday. &amp;ldquo;Our report is conclusive, final and without ambiguity,&amp;rdquo; said Truth Labs founder-chairman K.P.C. Gandhi.&lt;br /&gt;

The Truth Labs report prepared by Dr. S.R. Singh, a retired CFSL/CBI Director, concludes that &amp;ldquo;there are discontinuities and breaks in the audio recording [in the CD in question], indicating that the questioned digital recordings are the result of fabricated conversation between three persons [Mr. Bhushan, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and its former general secretary, Amar Singh].&amp;rdquo;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;em&gt;&amp;lsquo;Interruptions found&#039;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/em&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;ldquo;Seventeen bits of the conversation were found exactly identical to those in a 2006 CD purportedly containing conversations between Mr. Mulayam Singh, Mr. Amar Singh and several others. There were interruptions in the conversation contained in the CD in question. Our findings are that the conversation contained in the CD was not recorded by one device, at the same time, place and at one event,&amp;rdquo; said Dr. Gandhi.&lt;br /&gt;

                <div align="justify">The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report on the compact disc submitted by the former Law Minister and senior Supreme Court lawyer, Shanti Bhushan, to the Delhi Police has indicated that the conversation has not been tampered with. The case has now been transferred to the Special Cell for further investigations.<br /><br />While police officers remained tight-lipped over the findings of the CFSL/Central Bureau of Investigation (New Delhi) report, sources said it mentioned that the recorded conversation was in contextual continuity. No abrupt change in the phase of speech signal could be detected. No change in background noise pattern throughout the recording could be observed. Hence, the recorded conversation in the CD could not have been tampered with, said the report.<br /><br />However, the report also stated that complete examination for authenticity of the recorded conversation could be carried out if the original recording was made available for examination.<br /><br />On the other hand, Truth Labs &mdash; one of the two laboratories through which Mr. Bhushan got the CD tested &mdash; stood by its report on Thursday. &ldquo;Our report is conclusive, final and without ambiguity,&rdquo; said Truth Labs founder-chairman K.P.C. Gandhi.<br /><br />The Truth Labs report prepared by Dr. S.R. Singh, a retired CFSL/CBI Director, concludes that &ldquo;there are discontinuities and breaks in the audio recording [in the CD in question], indicating that the questioned digital recordings are the result of fabricated conversation between three persons [Mr. Bhushan, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and its former general secretary, Amar Singh].&rdquo;<br /><br /><em>&lsquo;Interruptions found'<br /></em><br />&ldquo;Seventeen bits of the conversation were found exactly identical to those in a 2006 CD purportedly containing conversations between Mr. Mulayam Singh, Mr. Amar Singh and several others. There were interruptions in the conversation contained in the CD in question. Our findings are that the conversation contained in the CD was not recorded by one device, at the same time, place and at one event,&rdquo; said Dr. Gandhi.<br /><br />Truth Labs, which took the voice sample of Mr. Bhushan for analysis, has pointed out to the portions which were allegedly lifted from the 2006 CD and pasted in the second audio clip.</div>               </font>

CFSL: CD not tampered with; Truth Labs stands by its report by Devesh K Pandey

The Central Forensic Science Laboratory (CFSL) report on the compact disc submitted by the former Law Minister and senior Supreme Court lawyer, Shanti Bhushan, to the Delhi Police has indicated that the conversation has not been tampered with. The case has now been transferred to the Special Cell for further investigations. While police officers remained tight-lipped over the findings of the CFSL/Central Bureau of Investigation (New Delhi) report, sources said it mentioned that the recorded conversation was in contextual continuity. No abrupt change in the phase of speech signal could be detected. No change in background noise pattern throughout the recording could be observed. Hence, the recorded conversation in the CD could not have been tampered with, said the report. However, the report also stated that complete examination for authenticity of the recorded conversation could be carried out if the original recording was made available for examination. On the other hand, Truth Labs — one of the two laboratories through which Mr. Bhushan got the CD tested — stood by its report on Thursday. “Our report is conclusive, final and without ambiguity,” said Truth Labs founder-chairman K.P.C. Gandhi. The Truth Labs report prepared by Dr. S.R. Singh, a retired CFSL/CBI Director, concludes that “there are discontinuities and breaks in the audio recording [in the CD in question], indicating that the questioned digital recordings are the result of fabricated conversation between three persons [Mr. Bhushan, Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh and its former general secretary, Amar Singh].” ‘Interruptions found' “Seventeen bits of the conversation were found exactly identical to those in a 2006 CD purportedly containing conversations between Mr. Mulayam Singh, Mr. Amar Singh and several others. There were interruptions in the conversation contained in the CD in question. Our findings are that the conversation contained in the CD was not recorded by one device, at the same time, place and at one event,” said Dr. Gandhi. Truth Labs, which took the voice sample of Mr. Bhushan for analysis, has pointed out to the portions which were allegedly lifted from the 2006 CD and pasted in the second audio clip.
