Chhattisgarh No 1 in providing employment under MGNREGA

West Bengal holds second rank, Assam and Bihar third, and Odisha fourth

The Chhattisgarh government said on Saturday the state ranks first in the country for providing employment under MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act).

Chhattisgarh has created employment of 16.06 crore man-days so far in 2020-21, against the target of 15 crore man-days set by the Centre, the state said.
