They have been charge-sheeted under Section 336 (endangering life and personal safety of others) of the Indian Penal Code.<br /><br />The cognisance of the charge sheet was taken this past week on June 4, and the accused policemen have been summoned to appear in the court on July 7. The investigating officer (IO) in the case told the court that further probe in the case was still going on to identify other persons who might be involved and a supplementary charge sheet might be filed if the &ldquo;other persons are identified&rdquo;.<br /><br />&ldquo;This charge sheet has been filed by the IO after investigation conducted in compliance of the directions given by the Supreme Court of India in Writ Petition (Criminal) 122/2011.
