ABSS convenor Awadhesh Kumar Verma said on Friday that a conference of Dalit employees would be organised in Lucknow by the end of this month to chalk out a strategy for protecting the constitutional right of quota in promotions.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">He said preparations for the joint conference were in full swing and its date would be announced very soon.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">The National Federation of Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes Employees led by Indian Justice Party leader Udit Raj has also called a meeting of Dalit employees&rsquo; organizations to take a decision on launching agitation against the state government.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">On Friday, Udit Raj hit out at former Chief Minister and Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati for not legislating a law on quota in promotions, and leaving Dalit employees vulnerable to the condition.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">&ldquo;Instead of making a law, Mayawati deliberately opted to issue just an order effecting quota in promotions, which was set side by the Allahabad High Court.
