Ramesh could not meet chief minister Mamata Banerjee as he was &ldquo;touring the districts and she was campaigning in Manipur&rdquo;.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Under the project, the government will collect river water, purify it and supply it to households through pipes.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">The Bankura project will be implemented in two phases. The Centre plans to sanction Rs 691 crore for the second phase. The state government is yet to send the detailed project report for the second phase.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">The World Bank will give the Rs 1,332 crore needed for the piped drinking water project in South 24-Parganas as a soft loan.
