The annual per capita expenditure in urban areas of Himachal Pradesh has been estimated at Rs 31,848, the second highest, followed by Haryana at Rs 27,852.&lt;br /&gt;

The per capita income of Delhiites increased to Rs 1,16,886 in 2009-10 as against 1,03,400 in 2008-09, according to the report based on a sample survey conducted under the National Sample Survey of 66th Round.&lt;br /&gt;

In urban areas of Delhi, about 36 per cent of the per capita expenditure was on food items, nearly 10 per cent on milk and milk products, seven per cent on cereals and pulses, two per cent on edible oils and four per cent on vegetables.&lt;br /&gt;

About eight per cent of the expenditure in the non-food category was on fuels, six per cent on clothing, nine per cent on education, two per cent on medical care and seven per cent on rent.&lt;br /&gt;

&amp;ldquo;Around 90 per cent of the households are using LPG as their main source of cooking, whereas only 4.81 per cent households are dependent on kerosene and 1.62 per cent on firewood,&amp;rdquo; Dikshit said. &lt;br /&gt;

Nearly 64 per cent households have their own dwelling units and 31 per cent stay in rented accommodation, according to the report.&lt;br /&gt;

According to statistics, 15.31 per cent of total urban households have Internet connections. The average number of household members in urban Delhi is less than 4.5 persons.&lt;br /&gt;

The distribution of occupation of households showed that 49 per cent people are regular salaried, 40 per cent self-employed and four per cent in the category of labour.&lt;br /&gt;

                <p>-The Indian Express</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div align="justify">Delhi residents are ahead of the others in terms of earning and spending, says a new government survey.<br /><br />At nearly Rs 1.16 lakh, the average annual per capita income of Delhiites is the highest in the country, and at Rs 33,732, the annual per capita expenditure too is the highest, as per the survey.<br /><br />&ldquo;The monthly per capita expenditure of Delhiites signifies the prevalence of relatively better levels of living standards in Delhi as compared to other states,&rdquo; Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said while releasing the report &lsquo;Level and Pattern of Household Consumer Expenditure in Delhi for July 2009 to June 2010&rsquo;.<br /><br />The annual per capita expenditure in urban areas of Himachal Pradesh has been estimated at Rs 31,848, the second highest, followed by Haryana at Rs 27,852.<br /><br />The per capita income of Delhiites increased to Rs 1,16,886 in 2009-10 as against 1,03,400 in 2008-09, according to the report based on a sample survey conducted under the National Sample Survey of 66th Round.<br /><br />In urban areas of Delhi, about 36 per cent of the per capita expenditure was on food items, nearly 10 per cent on milk and milk products, seven per cent on cereals and pulses, two per cent on edible oils and four per cent on vegetables.<br /><br />About eight per cent of the expenditure in the non-food category was on fuels, six per cent on clothing, nine per cent on education, two per cent on medical care and seven per cent on rent.<br /><br />&ldquo;Around 90 per cent of the households are using LPG as their main source of cooking, whereas only 4.81 per cent households are dependent on kerosene and 1.62 per cent on firewood,&rdquo; Dikshit said. <br /><br />Nearly 64 per cent households have their own dwelling units and 31 per cent stay in rented accommodation, according to the report.<br /><br />According to statistics, 15.31 per cent of total urban households have Internet connections. The average number of household members in urban Delhi is less than 4.5 persons.<br /><br />The distribution of occupation of households showed that 49 per cent people are regular salaried, 40 per cent self-employed and four per cent in the category of labour.<br /><br />Around 7 per cent of the total households are being headed by a female member of the family. <br /></div>               </font>

Nearly 64 per cent households have their own dwelling units and 31 per cent stay in rented accommodation, according to the report.&lt;br /&gt;

According to statistics, 15.31 per cent of total urban households have Internet connections. The average number of household members in urban Delhi is less than 4.5 persons.&lt;br /&gt;

The distribution of occupation of households showed that 49 per cent people are regular salaried, 40 per cent self-employed and four per cent in the category of labour.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Around 7 per cent of the total households are being headed by a female member of the family. &lt;br /&gt;

$disp = '<p>-The Indian Express</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div align="justify">Delhi residents are ahead of the others in terms of earning and spending, says a new government survey.<br /><br />At nearly Rs 1.16 lakh, the average annual per capita income of Delhiites is the highest in the country, and at Rs 33,732, the annual per capita expenditure too is the highest, as per the survey.<br /><br />&ldquo;The monthly per capita expenditure of Delhiites signifies the prevalence of relatively better levels of living standards in Delhi as compared to other states,&rdquo; Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said while releasing the report &lsquo;Level and Pattern of Household Consumer Expenditure in Delhi for July 2009 to June 2010&rsquo;.<br /><br />The annual per capita expenditure in urban areas of Himachal Pradesh has been estimated at Rs 31,848, the second highest, followed by Haryana at Rs 27,852.<br /><br />The per capita income of Delhiites increased to Rs 1,16,886 in 2009-10 as against 1,03,400 in 2008-09, according to the report based on a sample survey conducted under the National Sample Survey of 66th Round.<br /><br />In urban areas of Delhi, about 36 per cent of the per capita expenditure was on food items, nearly 10 per cent on milk and milk products, seven per cent on cereals and pulses, two per cent on edible oils and four per cent on vegetables.<br /><br />About eight per cent of the expenditure in the non-food category was on fuels, six per cent on clothing, nine per cent on education, two per cent on medical care and seven per cent on rent.<br /><br />&ldquo;Around 90 per cent of the households are using LPG as their main source of cooking, whereas only 4.81 per cent households are dependent on kerosene and 1.62 per cent on firewood,&rdquo; Dikshit said. <br /><br />Nearly 64 per cent households have their own dwelling units and 31 per cent stay in rented accommodation, according to the report.<br /><br />According to statistics, 15.31 per cent of total urban households have Internet connections. The average number of household members in urban Delhi is less than 4.5 persons.<br /><br />The distribution of occupation of households showed that 49 per cent people are regular salaried, 40 per cent self-employed and four per cent in the category of labour.<br /><br />Around 7 per cent of the total households are being headed by a female member of the family. <br /></div>'
