The state as a whole received 336 mm (millimeter) rainfall against the normal of 372 mm, which is 10 per cent less than normal.<br /><br />The TSGWD report stated, &ldquo;The recharge to ground water has been limited to a few localised areas in the state due to less rainfall during July 2017 resulting in a meager improvement in the water levels.&rdquo;</div><div align="justify"><br />The average groundwater level for Telangana as whole for July 2017 stood at 10.57 meters below ground level (mbgl), whereas it was 13.40m in July 2016, indicating a rise of 2.83 mbgl.
