The Delhi government views this is an opportunity to kick off its poll campaign centred on the aam admi.</p><p align="justify">The launch, which coincides with former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi's birth anniversary, will bring together heads of 2,000 families who will be handed the food security cards. The scheme aims to cover an estimated 73.5 lakh residents in phases. This election is crucial as Dikshit is seeking a fourth term in power.The beneficiaries are being drawn from about 32 lakh people from 6.27 lakh below poverty line (BPL) households, JJ &amp; resettlement cards and Antyodaya Ann Yojna (AAY).</p><p align="justify">The outreach is meant to tap this vote bank. To ensure a smooth rollout, chief minister Sheila Dikshit said she had confirmed the status of the ordinance from the Centre.</p><p align="justify">&quot;The ordinance will stay even if the bill is not passed. I have done the groundwork to prevent any trouble later.
