The maximum land holding ranged between 7.5 hectares and 18 hectares. The new law will be applicable on all cases of non-agricultural land ownerships after 1975. &lt;br /&gt;

Only a fortnight ago, the revenue department of Haryana issued an ordinance on these lines to remove uncertainty and mitigate the negative effects on infrastructural projects set up in the state owing to issues arising out of the ceiling laws on urban and industrial land. &amp;quot;All the development , including the housing and industrial projects in cities like Gurgaon and Faridabad , have come up on patches of land that were technically agricultural. Our land ceiling laws were formulated when the state was an agrarian society. The maximum land holding ranged between 7.5 hectares and 18 hectares. The new law will be applicable on all cases of non-agricultural land ownerships after 1975. &lt;br /&gt;

Only a fortnight ago, the revenue department of Haryana issued an ordinance on these lines to remove uncertainty and mitigate the negative effects on infrastructural projects set up in the state owing to issues arising out of the ceiling laws on urban and industrial land. &amp;quot;All the development , including the housing and industrial projects in cities like Gurgaon and Faridabad , have come up on patches of land that were technically agricultural. Our land ceiling laws were formulated when the state was an agrarian society.
