Police officials, investigating this case, have laid their hands on reports prepared earlier on Dinu Solanki and his nephew Shiva Solanki in the break down of law and order in Kodinar in 2003. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >Three letters written by three senior police officials in 2003 laid bare a sinister conspiracy involving Pratap Solanki alias Shiva Solanki, the main accused of Jethava murder case who was arrested by city crime branch on Tuesday, and his uncle. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The state home department is now mulling over what action to initiate on these letters, which had been put in cold storage. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >In 2003, three senior police officials one deputy inspector general of police and two superintendents of police, had warned the Gujarat government of a possible law and order break down in Junagadh owing to rampant illegal activities. All the three letters point accusatory fingers at the Solankis. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >However, till date, the letters were not taken seriously. Despite the fact that the three officers had levelled serious allegations against the politicians. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&quot;If a cop initiates action against the powerful limestone mining lobby, he gets transferred immediately,&quot; said one of the letters. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The first letter was faxed to the director general of police (DGP) by the then SP of Junagadh on January 10, 2003, which said how Dinu Solanki had threatened him over telephone.
