Volunteers who are educated and interested to take part in the literacy drive will be roped in the programme on a 1:10 or 15 ratio. That is, one volunteer for 10 to 15 persons. Two teachers in the school complex will be trained to serve as mandal resource persons, who in turn, will train the volunteers. The mandal resource persons will be trained by key resource pe-rsons from the Visakhap-atnam-based State Resour-ce Centre. The duration of the course is six months covering 200 hours. The au-thorities are also planning to tie up the literacy progr-amme with a training session on various vocations. They are planning to appoint interested secondary grade teachers as supervisors of the programme. In East Godavari, the literacy drive will be taken up in the three mandals of Rampachodavaram and Rajavommangi and part of Gangavaram. Nearly Rs.14.75 lakh was released by state government for implementation of the programme. Volunteers who are educated and interested to take part in the literacy drive will be roped in the programme on a 1:10 or 15 ratio. That is, one volunteer for 10 to 15 persons. Two teachers in the school complex will be trained to serve as mandal resource persons, who in turn, will train the volunteers. The mandal resource persons will be trained by key resource pe-rsons from the Visakhap-atnam-based State Resour-ce Centre. The duration of the course is six months covering 200 hours. The au-thorities are also planning to tie up the literacy progr-amme with a training session on various vocations. They are planning to appoint interested secondary grade teachers as supervisors of the programme. In East Godavari, the literacy drive will be taken up in the three mandals of Rampachodavaram and Rajavommangi and part of Gangavaram. Nearly Rs.14.75 lakh was released by state government for implementation of the programme. Volunteers who are educated and interested to take part in the literacy drive will be roped in the programme on a 1:10 or 15 ratio. That is, one volunteer for 10 to 15 persons. Two teachers in the school complex will be trained to serve as mandal resource persons, who in turn, will train the volunteers. The mandal resource persons will be trained by key resource pe-rsons from the Visakhap-atnam-based State Resour-ce Centre. The duration of the course is six months covering 200 hours. The au-thorities are also planning to tie up the literacy progr-amme with a training session on various vocations. They are planning to appoint interested secondary grade teachers as supervisors of the programme. In East Godavari, the literacy drive will be taken up in the three mandals of Rampachodavaram and Rajavommangi and part of Gangavaram. Nearly Rs.14.75 lakh was released by state government for implementation of the programme. The au-thorities are also planning to tie up the literacy progr-amme with a training session on various vocations. They are planning to appoint interested secondary grade teachers as supervisors of the programme.
