The Working Group for Women and Land Ownership (WGWLO) has demanded a special and separate budgetary provision for women farmers, besides seeking agricultural schemes that are designed from women farmers&rsquo; perspective to not only ensure gender equity but also enhance higher yield in agriculture.<br /><br />&ldquo;At present most of the agriculture schemes can be availed only by land owners. Women do not have land in their names and even though they are the ones contributing towards 65-70 per cent of agriculture-related work.
