This made him aware that the RTE Act was not enough for the schools to compulsorily consider a physically challenged person in the disadvantaged category, as enlisted under the Act. Narrating the background that led him to move court, Haider said he applied for his son&#039;s admission to nursery in 25 schools of the city but to no avail. Despite falling within the purview of &amp;quot;disadvantaged group&amp;quot; and &amp;quot;weaker section of society&amp;quot; he was unable to secure admission for his son, he regretted. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After two cutoffs were given out by the schools, Haider realized his son was not getting admission anywhere. His plea to the school authorities that his case be considered on the grounds that he was suffering from polio in both the lower limbs and right upper limb fell on deaf ears. &lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
This made him aware that the RTE Act was not enough for the schools to compulsorily consider a physically challenged person in the disadvantaged category, as enlisted under the Act. Urging HC to clarify this aspect, the petitioner alleged his fundamental right to avail of RTE benefits for his son was being violated due to the indifferent attitude of the schools. &lt;br /&gt;
