It has been learnt from sources that a sum of Rs 1.32 lakh has already been withdrawn from the funds of the ongoing digging up of a pond in the field of Vimlesh Yadav and Rs 1.18 lakh from the funds for the pond in the field of Ram Nath Yadav. <br />
<br />
On the other hand, new wells are being dug in the space for old wells of Umesh Yadav and Meghnath Yadav. Thus, the funds under these heads are being misappropriated, sources said. <br />
<br />
Deputy commissioner R P Sinha said he was yet to recieve any report on the matter. &quot;These are serious irregularities and action will be taken against those who have indulged in such incidents,&quot; said Sinha.

Digging up of seven ponds and 57 wells are being carried on in Kaylan panchayat. At least Rs 2.73 lakh has been allocated for each pond and Rs 1.33 lakh for each well. It has been learnt from sources that a sum of Rs 1.32 lakh has already been withdrawn from the funds of the ongoing digging up of a pond in the field of Vimlesh Yadav and Rs 1.18 lakh from the funds for the pond in the field of Ram Nath Yadav. <br />
<br />
On the other hand, new wells are being dug in the space for old wells of Umesh Yadav and Meghnath Yadav. Thus, the funds under these heads are being misappropriated, sources said. <br />
<br />
Deputy commissioner R P Sinha said he was yet to recieve any report on the matter. &quot;These are serious irregularities and action will be taken against those who have indulged in such incidents,&quot; said Sinha.

Besides, rules are also being violated in construction of wells here as middlemen and touts are swallowing up funds by constructing new wells in the space for old wells. <br />

Digging up of seven ponds and 57 wells are being carried on in Kaylan panchayat. At least Rs 2.73 lakh has been allocated for each pond and Rs 1.33 lakh for each well. It has been learnt from sources that a sum of Rs 1.32 lakh has already been withdrawn from the funds of the ongoing digging up of a pond in the field of Vimlesh Yadav and Rs 1.18 lakh from the funds for the pond in the field of Ram Nath Yadav. <br />

On the other hand, new wells are being dug in the space for old wells of Umesh Yadav and Meghnath Yadav. Thus, the funds under these heads are being misappropriated, sources said. <br />

As a result, people living in the far-flung areas are devoid of the benefit of the central money allocated for them. <br /><br />Heavy machines, such as excavators, are engaged in the MGNREGA-sponsored works in the ongoing construction of ponds and wells in Kaylan panchayat under Bhawnathpur block. Though the practice is strictly prohibited in the MGNREGA rulebook as applying heavy machines for construction deprives labourers of the scheme's benefits. <br /><br />Besides, rules are also being violated in construction of wells here as middlemen and touts are swallowing up funds by constructing new wells in the space for old wells. <br /><br />Digging up of seven ponds and 57 wells are being carried on in Kaylan panchayat. At least Rs 2.73 lakh has been allocated for each pond and Rs 1.33 lakh for each well. It has been learnt from sources that a sum of Rs 1.32 lakh has already been withdrawn from the funds of the ongoing digging up of a pond in the field of Vimlesh Yadav and Rs 1.18 lakh from the funds for the pond in the field of Ram Nath Yadav. <br /><br />On the other hand, new wells are being dug in the space for old wells of Umesh Yadav and Meghnath Yadav. Thus, the funds under these heads are being misappropriated, sources said. <br /><br />Deputy commissioner R P Sinha said he was yet to recieve any report on the matter. "These are serious irregularities and action will be taken against those who have indulged in such incidents," said Sinha.</div>'
