These courts will draw their powers from respective state High Courts and will follow up social audit findings of financial irregularities within the given district and deliver justice faster. A social audit takes note of the experience of beneficiaries. &lt;br /&gt;

I think it is a good initiative and I will consult the Supreme Court to see if it can be implemented across the board,&amp;quot; Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh said after a meeting of central and state MGNREGA representatives. &lt;br /&gt;

Ramesh further said that the ministry is likely to consider increasing the amount of funds available to states to carry out administrative reforms. Currently, 6% of overall state allocation is kept aside for administrative expenses. &lt;br /&gt;

&amp;quot;We are asking states to do social audits and for that they need to set up administrative structures. We will have to, possibly at a later date, look at increasing the 6% funds provided for administrative expenditure,&amp;quot; Ramesh said.                 <p>-The Economic Times</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div align="justify">The government's flagship rural employment programme may soon get a dedicated legal setup that would enable state governments to fast-track conviction of erring officials and panchayat heads implementing the scheme. <br /><br />The rural development ministry, which implements the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) through state departments and panchayats, is going to approach the Supreme Court to facilitate setting up of NREGA mobile courts in every district. <br /><br />These courts will draw their powers from respective state High Courts and will follow up social audit findings of financial irregularities within the given district and deliver justice faster. A social audit takes note of the experience of beneficiaries. <br /><br />&quot;This model is being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government. I think it is a good initiative and I will consult the Supreme Court to see if it can be implemented across the board,&quot; Union Minister for Rural Development Jairam Ramesh said after a meeting of central and state MGNREGA representatives. <br /><br />Ramesh further said that the ministry is likely to consider increasing the amount of funds available to states to carry out administrative reforms. A social audit takes note of the experience of beneficiaries. <br /><br />&quot;This model is being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government.
