                <div style="text-align: justify">-The Hindustan Times</div><p style="text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify"><em>Bhilwara, Rajasthan: </em>The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her.</p><p style="text-align: justify">The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on  August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre.</p><p style="text-align: justify">While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div style="text-align: justify">The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan.</div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.</div><p>&nbsp;</p>               </font>

                <div style="text-align: justify">-The Hindustan Times</div><p style="text-align: justify">&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align: justify"><em>Bhilwara, Rajasthan: </em>The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) on Wednesday asked the Government of Rajasthan to pay Rs. 50,000 as monetary relief to a woman, who gave birth to a baby by the roadside in Bhilwara, after the medical staff at the Community Health Centre refused to admit her.</p><p style="text-align: justify">The Commission had taken up the cognizance of the matter on the basis of a complaint filed by a human rights activist RH Bansal.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to the complaint, staff at the Government Health Centre, Kareda, refused to admit the pregnant woman on  August 3, 2011, after she was taken to the residence of a male doctor of the Centre.</p><p style="text-align: justify">While being taken to the residence of a doctor of the Health Centre, the woman delivered the baby by the roadside.</p><p style="text-align: justify">According to NHRC, a male nursing staff was found guilty of negligence and dereliction of duty, and disciplinary action was initiated against him shortly thereafter.</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div style="text-align: justify">The male doctor was transferred and proposal for a disciplinary action against the lady doctor had been forwarded to the directorate of health in Rajasthan.</div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief secretary, Rajiv Mehrishi, has been asked to send a compliance report along with proof of payment within six weeks.</div><p>&nbsp;</p>               </font>
