The affected families have raised the issue with the District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC), seeking a rollback of the system and manual distribution of ration to them. However, since, the software is used statewide, the authorities are not able to help them.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
There is a provision to make any other member of the family a nominee to get the ration. However, in most of the cases, all family members have the same ailment or the family members are too young to be made nominees.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;ldquo;There are 65 families with around 200 members which have not received ration last month for want of identification. Either we do not have fingers or our fingers do not leave any prints,&amp;rdquo; said Kashinath, a resident of the colony who had been suffering from leprosy for the last 15 years.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Without getting ration from the depot, they had to depend on ration given as alms by residents, he said with tears in his eyes.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&amp;ldquo;We have approached the authorities to amend the process and have some relaxation for leprosy patients,&amp;rdquo; said Yadgiri Pasi, another leprosy-affected person. &amp;ldquo;We cannot make our family members nominees as they are suffering from the same disease,&amp;rdquo; he stated.&lt;br /&gt;

Most of them have lost their fingers due to the disease while the fingers of others have no prints.<br /><br />The affected families have raised the issue with the District Food and Supplies Controller (DFSC), seeking a rollback of the system and manual distribution of ration to them. However, since, the software is used statewide, the authorities are not able to help them.<br /><br />There is a provision to make any other member of the family a nominee to get the ration. However, in most of the cases, all family members have the same ailment or the family members are too young to be made nominees.<br /><br />&ldquo;There are 65 families with around 200 members which have not received ration last month for want of identification.
