                <div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify"><em>Ensure full compliance with Right to Free Education Act</em></div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Evoking the spirit of Children's Day, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has appealed to teachers to ensure full compliance with the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act, 2009.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">In a message to the &ldquo;numerous officials in the Education Department, head teachers and teachers of all the 600 districts in the country,&rdquo; NCPCR chairperson Shantha Sinha said: &ldquo;We are all well aware of the passage of the Right of Children to Free and Compulsory Education Act 2009. While the Act ensures &lsquo;free' and &lsquo;compulsory' education to all children between the ages of 6 and 14 &mdash; the responsibility of ensuring the same, lies with us &mdash; with you. It is through your actions, efforts, timely interventions that we will be able to ensure that all children are in school, that they are receiving quality education and enjoying all their rights as children as entitled to in the Act.&rdquo;</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify"><em>Onerous task</em></div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">The message said, &ldquo;The work at hand is enormous and yet if each one of us were to perform only our own tasks and just that, we will be able to bring about a difference to many lives and also to many more generations,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;In doing so, we pay homage to our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru fondly remembered by all children as &lsquo;Chacha Nehru.'&rdquo;</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Minister for Women and Child Development Krishna Tirath felicitated children, non-governmental organisations and institutions on the occasion of Children's Day.
