While addressing reporters, Hulya Dagdeviran said the interdisciplinary team consists of research staff from food science, economics, law and commerce. The Rs-1.8 crore project, funded by the UGC-UKIERI for three years, undertakes work starting from data collection to policy recommendations.&lt;br /&gt;

Food insecurity in its different forms is most widespread amongst landless households and agricultural workers and least prevalent amongst larger land holders with 5-plus acres and those in non-agricultural employment. &amp;ldquo;Shift to annual cash crops such as sugarcane is affecting availability of agricultural employment opportunities,&amp;rdquo; she said. &lt;br /&gt;

The team of professors, including principal investigators of the project A Elangovan, head of the department of commerce, and Hulya Dagdeviran, professor of economic development of Hertfordshire Business School, handed over their research findings as a report to Kolandaivel on Wednesday.&lt;br /&gt;

While addressing reporters, Hulya Dagdeviran said the interdisciplinary team consists of research staff from food science, economics, law and commerce. The Rs-1.8 crore project, funded by the UGC-UKIERI for three years, undertakes work starting from data collection to policy recommendations.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Food insecurity in its different forms is most widespread amongst landless households and agricultural workers and least prevalent amongst larger land holders with 5-plus acres and those in non-agricultural employment. &amp;ldquo;Shift to annual cash crops such as sugarcane is affecting availability of agricultural employment opportunities,&amp;rdquo; she said. &lt;br /&gt;
