A legal status for these colonies may be many more years away as the AAP government has decided to redo the whole process from the beginning.</p><p align="justify">The Urban Development department has mooted a proposal to allow three agencies to redo the boundaries of all the 895 unauthorised colonies slated to be regularised and of a few tagged as &lsquo;regularised'. The proposal has been sent to law department for approval.</p><p align="justify">These three agencies will then start recharting the boundaries of these colonies in view of the fresh notifications regarding these colonies.</p><p align="justify">The Delhi government had, in January 2012, sent the boundary plans of all 895 colonies to the municipal corporations for making the layout plans and approving them. Now, the Delhi government has decided to start the process afresh. It is understood that a consensus has been reached within the government for not involving civic body in the process and letting the process gain momentum at the level of divisional commissioners, sources said.</p><p align="justify">The new agencies will make the boundaries of the unauthorised colonies by using total station machines. Officials said this technique will give exact coordinates needed to finalise the boundaries.</p><p align="justify">Earlier, it was done through satellite images provided by Geospatial Delhi Ltd. A legal status for these colonies may be many more years away as the AAP government has decided to redo the whole process from the beginning.</p><p align="justify">The Urban Development department has mooted a proposal to allow three agencies to redo the boundaries of all the 895 unauthorised colonies slated to be regularised and of a few tagged as &lsquo;regularised'. The proposal has been sent to law department for approval.</p><p align="justify">These three agencies will then start recharting the boundaries of these colonies in view of the fresh notifications regarding these colonies.</p><p align="justify">The Delhi government had, in January 2012, sent the boundary plans of all 895 colonies to the municipal corporations for making the layout plans and approving them. Now, the Delhi government has decided to start the process afresh. It is understood that a consensus has been reached within the government for not involving civic body in the process and letting the process gain momentum at the level of divisional commissioners, sources said.</p><p align="justify">The new agencies will make the boundaries of the unauthorised colonies by using total station machines.
