He said, &amp;quot;We have received directions from the home department to form a committee which will give special attention to complaints made by RTI activists. The committee will be formed in a week&#039;s time.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;

Meanwhile, additional superintendent of police Ramnath Pokale (Pune rural) said they already have a three-member committee in place. &amp;quot;It is headed by a deputy superintendent of police and includes officials of the district special branch and local crime branch. Speaking to TOI on Saturday, additional commissioner of police Anant Shinde (crime) said a proposal to form a three-member committee - headed by an assistant commissioner of police and two inspectors - has being submitted for approval to police commissioner Meeran Chadha Borwankar. He said, &amp;quot;We have received directions from the home department to form a committee which will give special attention to complaints made by RTI activists. The committee will be formed in a week&#039;s time.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;

Meanwhile, additional superintendent of police Ramnath Pokale (Pune rural) said they already have a three-member committee in place. &amp;quot;It is headed by a deputy superintendent of police and includes officials of the district special branch and local crime branch. The state government had issued a government resolution (GR) on February 10 this year to provide protection to RTI activists. The GR was issued following an order passed by the Bombay high court in the Shetty murder case. Activists, who live in constant fear of being attacked, are feeling relieved due to the decision.<br /><br />Speaking to TOI on Saturday, additional commissioner of police Anant Shinde (crime) said a proposal to form a three-member committee - headed by an assistant commissioner of police and two inspectors - has being submitted for approval to police commissioner Meeran Chadha Borwankar. He said, &quot;We have received directions from the home department to form a committee which will give special attention to complaints made by RTI activists. The committee will be formed in a week's time.&quot;<br /><br />Meanwhile, additional superintendent of police Ramnath Pokale (Pune rural) said they already have a three-member committee in place. &quot;It is headed by a deputy superintendent of police and includes officials of the district special branch and local crime branch.
