The three-day roadshow at Pandavapura in Mandya will have some 40 stalls wherein National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme, National Rural Health Mission, Sarva Shikasha Abhiyan and Bharat Nirman will be showcased. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The PIB additional director-general M V V S Murthy on Tuesday said the campaign is to take the schemes closer to people. These are schemes aimed at rural development since 70% of India's population live in rural areas. But they contribute meagerly to India's revenues whereas 30% of the urban areas have transformed as growth engines. There is an imbalance and Bharat Nirman aims to attend this. This is the 14th public information campaign being hosted in Karnataka. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The Rajya Sabha deputy chairman K Rahman Khan will inaugurate the event. On Thursday, a workshop on Anti-Domestic Violence Act and the Right to Information Act and programmes such as total sanitation campaign, women empowerment and PM's 15-point programme for welfare of the minorities will be organized. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The directorate of advertising and visual publicity is hosting a photo exhibition at the event and there will be screening of films and documentaries.
