For this, computers and necessary hardware have been made available to all the primary cooperative societies. Information regarding the procurement will be sent daily to various levels. Runners have been appointed in the areas which lack Internet facilities. Farmers are being informed of date and place of procurement in advance through SMS.&lt;br /&gt;

This year, procurement of wheat will be made at the support price of Rs 1,385 per quintal. This will include Rs 100 per quintal bonus given by the State Government. Minister of State Jain has urged the State&amp;rsquo;s farmers to reach the procurement centres with their sieves and dry wheat of average quality. This will facilitate them to get the maximum price with ease. Payment to farmers against purchase of their produce will be made within seven days through banks.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Thanks to the e-procurement system, apprehension of middlemen or traders purchasing wheat from farmers at lower prices has been eliminated. For this objective, the State Government is purchasing wheat only from registered farmers.&lt;br /&gt;

Appeal has been made to farmers to reach the concerning procurement centres carrying the computerised registration receipt, loan book and passbook. Till May 20, about 65 lakh metric tonne of wheat will be purchased from farmers in 67 days at the rate of about one lakh metric tonne per day.<br /><br />Under the scheme, e-procurement system has been adopted for the first time in the State in order to prevent any irregularity in the procurement arrangements. Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies has appealed to the farmers not to be led away by middlemen and reach the concerned procurement centre on fixed dates to get the maximum price for their produced crop.<br /><br />Under the clean and transparent e-procurement system, every registered farmer&rsquo;s record will be available on the Internet. For this, computers and necessary hardware have been made available to all the primary cooperative societies. Information regarding the procurement will be sent daily to various levels. Runners have been appointed in the areas which lack Internet facilities. Farmers are being informed of date and place of procurement in advance through SMS.<br /><br />This year, procurement of wheat will be made at the support price of Rs 1,385 per quintal. This will include Rs 100 per quintal bonus given by the State Government. Minister of State Jain has urged the State&rsquo;s farmers to reach the procurement centres with their sieves and dry wheat of average quality. This will facilitate them to get the maximum price with ease. Payment to farmers against purchase of their produce will be made within seven days through banks.<br /><br />Thanks to the e-procurement system, apprehension of middlemen or traders purchasing wheat from farmers at lower prices has been eliminated. For this objective, the State Government is purchasing wheat only from registered farmers.<br /><br />Appeal has been made to farmers to reach the concerning procurement centres carrying the computerised registration receipt, loan book and passbook. They should show these documents only to the competent officer of the procurement centre and not to hand over them to any other person or middleman.
