                <div align="justify">-The Telegraph</div><p align="justify"><em>Ranchi: </em>Over 300,000 children aged between six and 14 years are still out of school in Jharkhand, fresh data tabulated by the HRD department this year has revealed, prompting the state government to pursue its annual enrolment drive for students with renewed vigour and under a new name.</p><p align="justify">Today, chief minister Raghubar Das relaunched the state's enrolment campaign, earlier called School Chale Hum Abhiyan, as Vidyalaya Chale, Chalayen Abhiyan with special focus on enrolling all 3,22,468 out-of-school children at cradles and then retaining them in classes. </p><p align="justify">Das, while presiding over the inaugural ceremony at ATI auditorium in the state capital, said the drive would kick off from April 17 and continue till April 30 for getting the targeted children back to schools. After April 30, the state will start another drive called Prayas to ensure the enrolled children do not drop out. That will be a year-long initiative.</p><p align="justify">&quot;I want all 3,22,468 children, who receive no formal education at present and will be enrolled in schools under Vidyalaya Chale, Chalayen Abhiyan, to be retained in schools,&quot; the chief minister said while urging all MLAs to visit villages in their respective constituencies and monitor the drive.  </p><p align="justify">&quot;Our ministers should visit villages and find out why enrolled children are leaving schools despite our persistent efforts and the huge resources we are spending. With a 10-member team on board, the vehicles will tour slum areas across Ranchi district and convince the families to send their children to school besides collecting data of students enrolled in government schools. </p><p align="justify">The chief minister also promised to reward the performance of districts on the basis of enrolment and retention.  <br />As of now, Palamau is better placed among the 24 districts of Jharkhand in terms of school education.<br />In 2014, the state was successful in putting 2,38,050 children in classes.</p><p align="justify">This year too, the government will be making special efforts with help from social activists, non-government organisations, school management committees and other stakeholders.</p><p align="justify">Specific tasks have been assigned to MLAs, NGOs, block development officers, panchayati raj institutions, district education officers and district superintendents of education to make the retention drive a success. </p>               </font>

$disp = '<div align="justify">-The Telegraph</div><p align="justify"><em>Ranchi: </em>Over 300,000 children aged between six and 14 years are still out of school in Jharkhand, fresh data tabulated by the HRD department this year has revealed, prompting the state government to pursue its annual enrolment drive for students with renewed vigour and under a new name.</p><p align="justify">Today, chief minister Raghubar Das relaunched the state's enrolment campaign, earlier called School Chale Hum Abhiyan, as Vidyalaya Chale, Chalayen Abhiyan with special focus on enrolling all 3,22,468 out-of-school children at cradles and then retaining them in classes. </p><p align="justify">Das, while presiding over the inaugural ceremony at ATI auditorium in the state capital, said the drive would kick off from April 17 and continue till April 30 for getting the targeted children back to schools. After April 30, the state will start another drive called Prayas to ensure the enrolled children do not drop out. That will be a year-long initiative.</p><p align="justify">&quot;I want all 3,22,468 children, who receive no formal education at present and will be enrolled in schools under Vidyalaya Chale, Chalayen Abhiyan, to be retained in schools,&quot; the chief minister said while urging all MLAs to visit villages in their respective constituencies and monitor the drive.  </p><p align="justify">&quot;Our ministers should visit villages and find out why enrolled children are leaving schools despite our persistent efforts and the huge resources we are spending. They must also hold meetings in their constituencies to garner public support,&quot; he added. </p><p align="justify">As a part of the campaign, Das flagged off five vehicles from ATI auditorium. With a 10-member team on board, the vehicles will tour slum areas across Ranchi district and convince the families to send their children to school besides collecting data of students enrolled in government schools. </p><p align="justify">The chief minister also promised to reward the performance of districts on the basis of enrolment and retention.  <br />As of now, Palamau is better placed among the 24 districts of Jharkhand in terms of school education.<br />In 2014, the state was successful in putting 2,38,050 children in classes.</p><p align="justify">This year too, the government will be making special efforts with help from social activists, non-government organisations, school management committees and other stakeholders.</p><p align="justify">Specific tasks have been assigned to MLAs, NGOs, block development officers, panchayati raj institutions, district education officers and district superintendents of education to make the retention drive a success. </p>'
