The registration of the doctors will remain suspended till the proceedings in the court continue. If they are acquitted, they will get the registration again but if they are pronounced guilty by the court, their registration would remain suspended for five years, the official added. &lt;br /&gt;

The state has witnessed a decrease in the sex ratio in the recent years. In the 2001 census, the sex ratio was 909. This figure has slipped to 883 as per the 2011 census. &lt;br /&gt;

                <p>-The Times of India</p><p>&nbsp;</p><div align="justify">Four more doctors' registration has been suspended after a court farmed charges against them for their alleged involvement in sex determination. <br /><br />The Rajasthan Medical Council suspended the registration of the doctors after the court framed charges against them, health minister A A Khan said here on Monday. <br /><br />Soon after the provisional census 2011 revealed that the state's sex ratio is on the decline, the medical and health department swung into action and started conducting raids on sonography centres. So far, six registrations of doctors have been suspended after the raids. <br /><br />Earlier, registrations of a doctor from Dausa - Suman Meena - and a Chittorgarh-based doctor, Arun Sindhi, have already been suspended. The suspension came after chief medical and health officers had conducted raids. </div><div align="justify"><br />Doctors whose registrations were cancelled are : Dr Aruna Gupta of Dr Aruna Gupta Sonography Centre Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, Dr Hemant Tahikramani of Madhav Zanana and General Hospital, Bassi, Dr Navin Sharma of Superier Diagonistic and Research Centre, Janta Colony Jaipur, Dr Kashi Nath of Upasana Jiwan Raksha Hospital of Dungarpur have been suspended. <br /><br />In all four cases, the state inspection team of deputy director (reproduction and child health) Hardayal Singh had conducted raids and found deficiency and inaccuracy in the records of sonography, which was in violation of the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, an official of the department said. <br /><br />The registration of the doctors will remain suspended till the proceedings in the court continue. If they are acquitted, they will get the registration again but if they are pronounced guilty by the court, their registration would remain suspended for five years, the official added. <br /><br />The state has witnessed a decrease in the sex ratio in the recent years. In the 2001 census, the sex ratio was 909. This figure has slipped to 883 as per the 2011 census. <br /><br />Now, the department has also put up a website, www.hamaribeti.inc.in, where people who want to file complaint against female foeticide without disclosing their identity could do so. <br /></div>               </font>

Doctors whose registrations were cancelled are : Dr Aruna Gupta of Dr Aruna Gupta Sonography Centre Vidhyadhar Nagar, Jaipur, Dr Hemant Tahikramani of Madhav Zanana and General Hospital, Bassi, Dr Navin Sharma of Superier Diagonistic and Research Centre, Janta Colony Jaipur, Dr Kashi Nath of Upasana Jiwan Raksha Hospital of Dungarpur have been suspended. In all four cases, the state inspection team of deputy director (reproduction and child health) Hardayal Singh had conducted raids and found deficiency and inaccuracy in the records of sonography, which was in violation of the Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act, 1994, an official of the department said. The registration of the doctors will remain suspended till the proceedings in the court continue. If they are acquitted, they will get the registration again but if they are pronounced guilty by the court, their registration would remain suspended for five years, the official added. The state has witnessed a decrease in the sex ratio in the recent years. In the 2001 census, the sex ratio was 909. This figure has slipped to 883 as per the 2011 census. Now, the department has also put up a website, www.hamaribeti.inc.in, where people who want to file complaint against female foeticide without disclosing their identity could do so.
