Dropping loud hints about its displeasure, a bench of Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta said: &amp;quot;This is a classic case of Sunder Marketing Associates apparently having influence in high places, using that influence to violate the law and get a benefit that would ordinarily not be granted to anybody else.&amp;quot;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Sunder Marketing Association, owned by Naveen Goel who runs a flourishing milk product industry in the name of Keshav Milks, was ineligible to bid for Dadam quarry in Bhiwani district, and hence, formed a joint venture with Karamjeet Singh and Co Ltd (KJSL) to become eligible. The JV bagged the quarry in auction on December 30, 2013, with a bid of Rs 115 crore per annum towards dead rent or royalty.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
On May 7, 2015, KJSL wrote to the state government for rescinding the mining lease contract and refund of its security deposit of Rs 28.75 crore. A week later, Sunder Marketing wrote to the CM seeking transfer of 51% of shares of KJSL in the JV to itself to continue with the lease for which it alone was ineligible.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Narrating the sequence of events, the SC bench said it was proposed by &amp;quot;concerned mining engineer on June 10, 2015 to allow transfer of entire shares of KJSL in favour of Sunder Marketing. This was approved by superior authorities including CM&amp;quot;. &lt;br /&gt;

The JV bagged the quarry in auction on December 30, 2013, with a bid of Rs 115 crore per annum towards dead rent or royalty.<br /><br />On May 7, 2015, KJSL wrote to the state government for rescinding the mining lease contract and refund of its security deposit of Rs 28.75 crore.                 <div align="justify">-The Times of India<br /><br /><em>NEW DELHI: </em>In what could hurt Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar's claim of corruption-free governance, the Supreme Court has severely criticised the manner in which &quot;influence in high places' was used to subvert law regarding grant of mining lease in the state.<br /><br />Dropping loud hints about its displeasure, a bench of Justices Madan B Lokur and Deepak Gupta said: &quot;This is a classic case of Sunder Marketing Associates apparently having influence in high places, using that influence to violate the law and get a benefit that would ordinarily not be granted to anybody else.&quot;<br /><br />Sunder Marketing Association, owned by Naveen Goel who runs a flourishing milk product industry in the name of Keshav Milks, was ineligible to bid for Dadam quarry in Bhiwani district, and hence, formed a joint venture with Karamjeet Singh and Co Ltd (KJSL) to become eligible. The JV bagged the quarry in auction on December 30, 2013, with a bid of Rs 115 crore per annum towards dead rent or royalty.<br /><br />On May 7, 2015, KJSL wrote to the state government for rescinding the mining lease contract and refund of its security deposit of Rs 28.75 crore. A week later, Sunder Marketing wrote to the CM seeking transfer of 51% of shares of KJSL in the JV to itself to continue with the lease for which it alone was ineligible.<br /><br />Narrating the sequence of events, the SC bench said it was proposed by &quot;concerned mining engineer on June 10, 2015 to allow transfer of entire shares of KJSL in favour of Sunder Marketing. A week later, Sunder Marketing wrote to the CM seeking transfer of 51% of shares of KJSL in the JV to itself to continue with the lease for which it alone was ineligible. Narrating the sequence of events, the SC bench said it was proposed by "concerned mining engineer on June 10, 2015 to allow transfer of entire shares of KJSL in favour of Sunder Marketing.
