But where is the prima facie material in the writ petition?&quot;</p><p align="justify">The court said the petitioner had not placed the order, if any, passed by America's Food and Drug Administration fining Ranbaxy the equivalent of Rs 2,900 crore on charges of supplying adulterated and substandard drugs in various parts of the world.</p><p align="justify">A New York Times report said on May 13 that Ranbaxy had &quot;pleaded guilty... to federal drug safety violations and will pay $500 million in fines to resolve claims that it sold sub-par drugs and made false statements to the Food and Drug Administration about its manufacturing practices at two factories in India.&quot;</p><p align="justify">The newspaper added: &quot;Ranbaxy has been operating under a consent decree with the Food and Drug Administration since last year after federal officials identified a host of manufacturing lapses at plants in India and one in the United States, and concluded that the company... submitted false data to the FDA.
