He said the government would take a decision regarding modifying the charges after the CP submits his report.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">&ldquo;After the probe is completed, we will decide whether to withdraw the case or not. Senior officers are investigating the matter,&rdquo; said Patil after a meeting with home department officials. He added that the law and judiciary department would be consulted if necessary.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan said that the Home Ministry was checking if the sedition charges against Trivedi need to be dropped.</div><div style="text-align: justify"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify">With public pressure mounting, Patil said: &ldquo;The government does not want to be unjust towards anyone.
