Children and women have been lying prostrate on the sand at the Gobindpur border to prevent the officials' entry. They have also dug up the approach roads to the village. <br /><br />Meanwhile, a missive from union forest and environment minister Jairam Ramesh on Sunday to the state government not to use environmental clearance for the project as a &quot;license for forcible acquisition of land&quot; has further bolstered up the moral of the villagers opposed to the 12 million ton steel project. <br /><br />The Congress party in the state has openly opposed the state government's move to forcibly acquire land for the $12 billion project.
