Following this, Prakash filed a complaint before the Commission in September 2011. He stated in the complaint that the district administration had given an undertaking before the Commission that all tahsildars have undertaken the task of cataloguing and indexing of records of their offices. Further, he requested the Commission to direct the respondent to provide information free of cost and impose penalty on him.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After hearing both parties, the commission served a show-cause notice to the respondent. State information commissioner MR Poojar found the explanation given by the respondent in his reply to the show-cause notice unacceptable and decided to impose a penalty.&lt;br /&gt;

Accordingly, Naik will have to pay the penalty from his February month&#039;s salary to the government treasury. The Commission also asked the respondent to submit a report enclosing the chalan receipt of penalty payment.

Following this, Prakash filed a complaint before the Commission in September 2011. He stated in the complaint that the district administration had given an undertaking before the Commission that all tahsildars have undertaken the task of cataloguing and indexing of records of their offices. Further, he requested the Commission to direct the respondent to provide information free of cost and impose penalty on him.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After hearing both parties, the commission served a show-cause notice to the respondent. State information commissioner MR Poojar found the explanation given by the respondent in his reply to the show-cause notice unacceptable and decided to impose a penalty.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Accordingly, Naik will have to pay the penalty from his February month&#039;s salary to the government treasury. The Commission also asked the respondent to submit a report enclosing the chalan receipt of penalty payment.

Following this, Prakash filed a complaint before the Commission in September 2011. He stated in the complaint that the district administration had given an undertaking before the Commission that all tahsildars have undertaken the task of cataloguing and indexing of records of their offices. Further, he requested the Commission to direct the respondent to provide information free of cost and impose penalty on him.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
After hearing both parties, the commission served a show-cause notice to the respondent. State information commissioner MR Poojar found the explanation given by the respondent in his reply to the show-cause notice unacceptable and decided to impose a penalty.&lt;br /&gt;

Accordingly, Naik will have to pay the penalty from his February month&#039;s salary to the government treasury. The Commission also asked the respondent to submit a report enclosing the chalan receipt of penalty payment.
