Briefing reporters after the weekly Cabinet meeting here on Wednesday, the Chief Minister said the Cabinet had sanctioned Rs.49 crore and 31 temporary posts for the purpose. These decisions were taken on the basis of discussions he had with officials in charge of the UID project in South India.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
If matters progressed as planned, Kerala could become the first State in the country to have complete UID coverage, he said.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Chandy said that Akshaya, Keltron, and IT@School, which were all State-run agencies, would be in charge of the activities connected with the State-level UID project. The Cabinet had decided to give Rs.150 to each Below Poverty Line (BPL) family for participating in processes connected with the UID project, including taking of photographs.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The government would go by the State-level BPL list for providing the assistance. The funds needed for implementation of the UID project would be spent from the State coffers and later reimbursed by the Centre, he said.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Mr. Chandy said the main focus of the 100-day action plan being finalised by his government would be on transparency in governance, efficient service delivery, provision of relief to the most downtrodden, and implementation of projects that would accelerate the State&#039;s development.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
A special Cabinet would be held on Thursday to work out the details of the action plan, he said.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The Cabinet, he said, had also sanctioned Rs.125 lakh to construct a protection wall along the Chakka-Vazhavila stretch of the Parvathiputhanar in the capital where a school van capsize had resulted in the loss of the lives of half-a-dozen schoolchildren last year.&lt;br /&gt;

The government would bear the entire treatment expenses of Irfan, who had survived and was till undergoing treatment.

These decisions were taken on the basis of discussions he had with officials in charge of the UID project in South India.<br /><br />If matters progressed as planned, Kerala could become the first State in the country to have complete UID coverage, he said.<br /><br />Mr. Chandy said that Akshaya, Keltron, and IT@School, which were all State-run agencies, would be in charge of the activities connected with the State-level UID project. The Cabinet had decided to give Rs.150 to each Below Poverty Line (BPL) family for participating in processes connected with the UID project, including taking of photographs.<br /><br />The government would go by the State-level BPL list for providing the assistance. The funds needed for implementation of the UID project would be spent from the State coffers and later reimbursed by the Centre, he said.<br /><br />Mr. Chandy said the main focus of the 100-day action plan being finalised by his government would be on transparency in governance, efficient service delivery, provision of relief to the most downtrodden, and implementation of projects that would accelerate the State's development.<br /><br />A special Cabinet would be held on Thursday to work out the details of the action plan, he said.<br /><br />The Cabinet, he said, had also sanctioned Rs.125 lakh to construct a protection wall along the Chakka-Vazhavila stretch of the Parvathiputhanar in the capital where a school van capsize had resulted in the loss of the lives of half-a-dozen schoolchildren last year.<br /><br />The government would bear the entire treatment expenses of Irfan, who had survived and was till undergoing treatment.</div>               </font>

Mr. Chandy said the main focus of the 100-day action plan being finalised by his government would be on transparency in governance, efficient service delivery, provision of relief to the most downtrodden, and implementation of projects that would accelerate the State's development. A special Cabinet would be held on Thursday to work out the details of the action plan, he said. The Cabinet, he said, had also sanctioned Rs.125 lakh to construct a protection wall along the Chakka-Vazhavila stretch of the Parvathiputhanar in the capital where a school van capsize had resulted in the loss of the lives of half-a-dozen schoolchildren last year. The government would bear the entire treatment expenses of Irfan, who had survived and was till undergoing treatment.
