121 journalists in India died of Covid in 2021: Rate the Debate Campaign

According to their data, four journalists died every day on average in the first six days of May.

At least 171 journalists have lost their lives to Covid-19 since April 2020, according to a list compiled by Rate The Debate Campaign, and initiated by the Institute of Perception Studies, Delhi.

The list, updated on May 6, shows that 121 journalists died this year alone, with the most deaths, 90, taking place in April. Twenty-four journalists died in the first six days of May, an average of four a day, due to Covid complications.

Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Delhi and Telangana account for the most number of deaths.
