                            <div align="justify">-The Indian Express <br /></div><div align="justify">&nbsp;</div><div align="justify">AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday criticised UP&rsquo;s new land acquisition policy and said the Congress would approach court to quash the land acquisition notification of Bhatta-Parsaul.<br /><br />&ldquo;The policy is a mere copy of the policy of the Congress government in Haryana, but it does not clarify certain points like at what rates the private players would acquire land. Moreover, it would not apply to those places where farmers have been agitating for higher compensation. The policy does not give much relief to landless labourers,&rdquo; he said. UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and CLP leader Pramod Tiwari would soon write to the UP Chief Minister, raising all these issues. Later in the month, Rahul Gandhi will visit Gautam Budh Nagar and hear the grievances of farmers.<br /><br />Meanwhile, in Bhatta-Parsaul, the state government on Tuesday distributed compensation cheques amounting to Rs 33.77 lakh to victims of last month&rsquo;s violence. In all, 120 cases were approved, which involved death, injury and property loss. DM Deepak Aggarwal said, &ldquo;UP Cabinet Ministers Laxmi Narayan, Thakur Jaiveer Singh and local BSP MP Surendra Singh Nagar distributed the cheques. Rs 5 lakh each have been paid to the family of two deceased farmers and Rs 2 lakh each to grievously injured.&rdquo;</div>

                            <div align="justify">-The Indian Express <br /></div><div align="justify">&nbsp;</div><div align="justify">AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday criticised UP&rsquo;s new land acquisition policy and said the Congress would approach court to quash the land acquisition notification of Bhatta-Parsaul.<br /><br />&ldquo;The policy is a mere copy of the policy of the Congress government in Haryana, but it does not clarify certain points like at what rates the private players would acquire land. Moreover, it would not apply to those places where farmers have been agitating for higher compensation. The policy does not give much relief to landless labourers,&rdquo; he said. UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and CLP leader Pramod Tiwari would soon write to the UP Chief Minister, raising all these issues. Later in the month, Rahul Gandhi will visit Gautam Budh Nagar and hear the grievances of farmers.<br /><br />Meanwhile, in Bhatta-Parsaul, the state government on Tuesday distributed compensation cheques amounting to Rs 33.77 lakh to victims of last month&rsquo;s violence. In all, 120 cases were approved, which involved death, injury and property loss. DM Deepak Aggarwal said, &ldquo;UP Cabinet Ministers Laxmi Narayan, Thakur Jaiveer Singh and local BSP MP Surendra Singh Nagar distributed the cheques. Rs 5 lakh each have been paid to the family of two deceased farmers and Rs 2 lakh each to grievously injured.&rdquo;</div>

                            <div align="justify">-The Indian Express <br /></div><div align="justify">&nbsp;</div><div align="justify">AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday criticised UP&rsquo;s new land acquisition policy and said the Congress would approach court to quash the land acquisition notification of Bhatta-Parsaul.<br /><br />&ldquo;The policy is a mere copy of the policy of the Congress government in Haryana, but it does not clarify certain points like at what rates the private players would acquire land. Moreover, it would not apply to those places where farmers have been agitating for higher compensation. The policy does not give much relief to landless labourers,&rdquo; he said. UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and CLP leader Pramod Tiwari would soon write to the UP Chief Minister, raising all these issues. Later in the month, Rahul Gandhi will visit Gautam Budh Nagar and hear the grievances of farmers.<br /><br />Meanwhile, in Bhatta-Parsaul, the state government on Tuesday distributed compensation cheques amounting to Rs 33.77 lakh to victims of last month&rsquo;s violence. In all, 120 cases were approved, which involved death, injury and property loss. DM Deepak Aggarwal said, &ldquo;UP Cabinet Ministers Laxmi Narayan, Thakur Jaiveer Singh and local BSP MP Surendra Singh Nagar distributed the cheques. Rs 5 lakh each have been paid to the family of two deceased farmers and Rs 2 lakh each to grievously injured.&rdquo;</div>

Bhatta-Parsaul: Cong to approach court against land acquisition move

-The Indian Express   AICC general secretary Digvijaya Singh on Tuesday criticised UP’s new land acquisition policy and said the Congress would approach court to quash the land acquisition notification of Bhatta-Parsaul. “The policy is a mere copy of the policy of the Congress government in Haryana, but it does not clarify certain points like at what rates the private players would acquire land. Moreover, it would not apply to those places where farmers have been agitating for higher compensation. The policy does not give much relief to landless labourers,” he said. UPCC president Rita Bahuguna Joshi and CLP leader Pramod Tiwari would soon write to the UP Chief Minister, raising all these issues. Later in the month, Rahul Gandhi will visit Gautam Budh Nagar and hear the grievances of farmers. Meanwhile, in Bhatta-Parsaul, the state government on Tuesday distributed compensation cheques amounting to Rs 33.77 lakh to victims of last month’s violence. In all, 120 cases were approved, which involved death, injury and property loss. DM Deepak Aggarwal said, “UP Cabinet Ministers Laxmi Narayan, Thakur Jaiveer Singh and local BSP MP Surendra Singh Nagar distributed the cheques. Rs 5 lakh each have been paid to the family of two deceased farmers and Rs 2 lakh each to grievously injured.”
