                            <br /><div align="justify">In a new year bonanza, about 5.92 lakh government school students in Karnataka would get a cash dole of Rs 2,250 each for purchase of bicycles during 2010-11 academic year under a welfare scheme.<br /><br />Citing its own delay in finalising the process of issue of tenders for procuring the bicycles under the two-year old scheme, the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today decided to extend Rs 2,250 to each of the 5.92 lakh children to enable them purchase the bicycles.<br /><br />The government would spend Rs 133.20 crore on the scheme, Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya told reporters after a cabinet meeting.<br /><br />In the last two years, the BJP government had been distributing bicylces to school children.<br /><br />charya said the cash given by the government would not be misused and instead the beneficiaries could buy good quality bicycles.<br /><br />The cash-for-bicycles bonanza would benefit 2.90 lakh girl and 3.05 lakh boy students, he said. <br /><br /><br /></div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">In a new year bonanza, about 5.92 lakh government school students in Karnataka would get a cash dole of Rs 2,250 each for purchase of bicycles during 2010-11 academic year under a welfare scheme.<br /><br />Citing its own delay in finalising the process of issue of tenders for procuring the bicycles under the two-year old scheme, the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today decided to extend Rs 2,250 to each of the 5.92 lakh children to enable them purchase the bicycles.<br /><br />The government would spend Rs 133.20 crore on the scheme, Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya told reporters after a cabinet meeting.<br /><br />In the last two years, the BJP government had been distributing bicylces to school children.<br /><br />charya said the cash given by the government would not be misused and instead the beneficiaries could buy good quality bicycles.<br /><br />The cash-for-bicycles bonanza would benefit 2.90 lakh girl and 3.05 lakh boy students, he said. <br /><br /><br /></div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">In a new year bonanza, about 5.92 lakh government school students in Karnataka would get a cash dole of Rs 2,250 each for purchase of bicycles during 2010-11 academic year under a welfare scheme.<br /><br />Citing its own delay in finalising the process of issue of tenders for procuring the bicycles under the two-year old scheme, the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today decided to extend Rs 2,250 to each of the 5.92 lakh children to enable them purchase the bicycles.<br /><br />The government would spend Rs 133.20 crore on the scheme, Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya told reporters after a cabinet meeting.<br /><br />In the last two years, the BJP government had been distributing bicylces to school children.<br /><br />charya said the cash given by the government would not be misused and instead the beneficiaries could buy good quality bicycles.<br /><br />The cash-for-bicycles bonanza would benefit 2.90 lakh girl and 3.05 lakh boy students, he said. <br /><br /><br /></div>

BJP govt offers cash to school students for cycles

In a new year bonanza, about 5.92 lakh government school students in Karnataka would get a cash dole of Rs 2,250 each for purchase of bicycles during 2010-11 academic year under a welfare scheme. Citing its own delay in finalising the process of issue of tenders for procuring the bicycles under the two-year old scheme, the state cabinet chaired by Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa today decided to extend Rs 2,250 to each of the 5.92 lakh children to enable them purchase the bicycles. The government would spend Rs 133.20 crore on the scheme, Minister for Higher Education V S Acharya told reporters after a cabinet meeting. In the last two years, the BJP government had been distributing bicylces to school children. charya said the cash given by the government would not be misused and instead the beneficiaries could buy good quality bicycles. The cash-for-bicycles bonanza would benefit 2.90 lakh girl and 3.05 lakh boy students, he said.
