Budget allocation for central government hospitals in the capital has been increased for the coming fiscal, with AIIMS getting Rs 1,124 crore which is nearly 6% more as compared to the last year's Rs 1,062.35 crore.

This is followed by the Safdarjung Hospital which will receive Rs 467.55 crore this year, which is 27% more in comparison to the allocation of Rs 366.88 crore last year.

The next in the row of Central government hospitals to benefit from budget allocation in the city includes Ram Manohar Lohia hospital and Ram Manohar Lohia PG Institute of Medical Education and Research.

While the former will get Rs 322.65 crore this year in comparison to last year's Rs 272.10 crore, the later will get Rs 26.10 this year which is 78% more in comparison to Rs 14.66 crore of last fiscal.

With an allocation of Rs 61.75 crore in the coming fiscal, there has been a raise of nine% in budget allocation to the Kalawati Saran Children's Hospital. Last year, the hospital received an amount of Rs 56.22 crore.

The Lady Hardinge Medical College and Sucheta Kripalani Hospital has been allocated Rs 223 crore which is 13% increase in comparison to last year's allocation.
