Fresh controversy is set to erupt over Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) Vinod Rai's loss estimates on the 2G spectrum sale. CAG documents accessed through Right to Information Act (RTI) by accused show that CAG overruled its own auditor on 2G loss calculation.

Joint Parliamentray Committee (JPC) members have questioned CAG's Rs 1,76,000 crore 2G spectrum loss figure.

JPC members have sought details Of CAG's loss calculation process. The JPC is likely to summon key CAG officials involved in 2G Audit. CAG officials will be asked to appear before the JPC and tell about their intention of coming up with this figure.
