                            <br /><div align="justify">The Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) has termed the prosecution and conviction of human rights activist Binayak Sen on charges of sedition a blow to democracy.<br /><br />&ldquo;We are deeply disturbed by the judgment of the Raipur Additional District and Sessions Court, convicting Dr. Binayak Sen on charges of sedition, treason and conspiracy against the state and sentencing him to life imprisonment. We believe the trial of the eminent and committed human rights activist was not fair and that this is a miscarriage of justice,&rdquo; the MKSS said in a statement.<br /><br />&ldquo;We will support all efforts for justice&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;We hope the higher judiciary will grant him immediate release and ensure that no further harm is done to him and the human rights movement. We will support all efforts to obtain justice for Dr. Binayak Sen,&rdquo; said the statement signed by Aruna Roy, Nikhil Dey, Shankar Singh and the MKSS collective.</div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">The Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) has termed the prosecution and conviction of human rights activist Binayak Sen on charges of sedition a blow to democracy.<br /><br />&ldquo;We are deeply disturbed by the judgment of the Raipur Additional District and Sessions Court, convicting Dr. Binayak Sen on charges of sedition, treason and conspiracy against the state and sentencing him to life imprisonment. We believe the trial of the eminent and committed human rights activist was not fair and that this is a miscarriage of justice,&rdquo; the MKSS said in a statement.<br /><br />&ldquo;We will support all efforts for justice&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;We hope the higher judiciary will grant him immediate release and ensure that no further harm is done to him and the human rights movement. We will support all efforts to obtain justice for Dr. Binayak Sen,&rdquo; said the statement signed by Aruna Roy, Nikhil Dey, Shankar Singh and the MKSS collective.</div>

                            <br /><div align="justify">The Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) has termed the prosecution and conviction of human rights activist Binayak Sen on charges of sedition a blow to democracy.<br /><br />&ldquo;We are deeply disturbed by the judgment of the Raipur Additional District and Sessions Court, convicting Dr. Binayak Sen on charges of sedition, treason and conspiracy against the state and sentencing him to life imprisonment. We believe the trial of the eminent and committed human rights activist was not fair and that this is a miscarriage of justice,&rdquo; the MKSS said in a statement.<br /><br />&ldquo;We will support all efforts for justice&rdquo;<br /><br />&ldquo;We hope the higher judiciary will grant him immediate release and ensure that no further harm is done to him and the human rights movement. We will support all efforts to obtain justice for Dr. Binayak Sen,&rdquo; said the statement signed by Aruna Roy, Nikhil Dey, Shankar Singh and the MKSS collective.</div>

Conviction a blow to democracy: MKSS

The Mazdoor Kisan Shakti Sangathan (MKSS) has termed the prosecution and conviction of human rights activist Binayak Sen on charges of sedition a blow to democracy. “We are deeply disturbed by the judgment of the Raipur Additional District and Sessions Court, convicting Dr. Binayak Sen on charges of sedition, treason and conspiracy against the state and sentencing him to life imprisonment. We believe the trial of the eminent and committed human rights activist was not fair and that this is a miscarriage of justice,” the MKSS said in a statement. “We will support all efforts for justice” “We hope the higher judiciary will grant him immediate release and ensure that no further harm is done to him and the human rights movement. We will support all efforts to obtain justice for Dr. Binayak Sen,” said the statement signed by Aruna Roy, Nikhil Dey, Shankar Singh and the MKSS collective.
