                            <p align="justify"><font >Three persons were sent on Saturday to police custody till January 25 in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty (39). </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The three were identified as Vijay Dabhade, Parshuram Telugu and Pramod Waghmore. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;Dabhade is a lawyer, Waghmore is a clerk in his office, while Telugu was one of Dabhade&rsquo;s clients,&rdquo; Bhausaheb Andhalkar, an officer of the Pune Rural police&rsquo;s local crime branch heading one of the five teams probing the case, told The Hindu. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >They were produced before the Wadgaon Maval Judicial Magistrate First Class. Mr. Andhalkar said a tiff between Dabhade and Shetty dated back to 2002. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >In 2008, Dabhade was charged for attempting to murder Shetty. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The victim&rsquo;s younger brother Sandeep said Shetty had exposed the irregularities in the construction of Dabhade&rsquo;s bungalow. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >He, however, told The Hindu he did not think these people were involved in the murder. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;The police have a theory, but they are yet to prove anything. They haven&rsquo;t conducted any inquiries about the main suspects I had named in my statement.&rdquo; </font></p><p align="justify"><font >Mr. Sandeep said his brother&rsquo;s murder had to be the handiwork of an influential person. &ldquo;Only someone who has money and clout would dare to attack him.&rdquo; <br /></font></p>

                            <p align="justify"><font >Three persons were sent on Saturday to police custody till January 25 in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty (39). </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The three were identified as Vijay Dabhade, Parshuram Telugu and Pramod Waghmore. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;Dabhade is a lawyer, Waghmore is a clerk in his office, while Telugu was one of Dabhade&rsquo;s clients,&rdquo; Bhausaheb Andhalkar, an officer of the Pune Rural police&rsquo;s local crime branch heading one of the five teams probing the case, told The Hindu. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >They were produced before the Wadgaon Maval Judicial Magistrate First Class. Mr. Andhalkar said a tiff between Dabhade and Shetty dated back to 2002. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >In 2008, Dabhade was charged for attempting to murder Shetty. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The victim&rsquo;s younger brother Sandeep said Shetty had exposed the irregularities in the construction of Dabhade&rsquo;s bungalow. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >He, however, told The Hindu he did not think these people were involved in the murder. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;The police have a theory, but they are yet to prove anything. They haven&rsquo;t conducted any inquiries about the main suspects I had named in my statement.&rdquo; </font></p><p align="justify"><font >Mr. Sandeep said his brother&rsquo;s murder had to be the handiwork of an influential person. &ldquo;Only someone who has money and clout would dare to attack him.&rdquo; <br /></font></p>

                            <p align="justify"><font >Three persons were sent on Saturday to police custody till January 25 in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty (39). </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The three were identified as Vijay Dabhade, Parshuram Telugu and Pramod Waghmore. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;Dabhade is a lawyer, Waghmore is a clerk in his office, while Telugu was one of Dabhade&rsquo;s clients,&rdquo; Bhausaheb Andhalkar, an officer of the Pune Rural police&rsquo;s local crime branch heading one of the five teams probing the case, told The Hindu. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >They were produced before the Wadgaon Maval Judicial Magistrate First Class. Mr. Andhalkar said a tiff between Dabhade and Shetty dated back to 2002. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >In 2008, Dabhade was charged for attempting to murder Shetty. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >The victim&rsquo;s younger brother Sandeep said Shetty had exposed the irregularities in the construction of Dabhade&rsquo;s bungalow. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >He, however, told The Hindu he did not think these people were involved in the murder. </font></p><p align="justify"><font >&ldquo;The police have a theory, but they are yet to prove anything. They haven&rsquo;t conducted any inquiries about the main suspects I had named in my statement.&rdquo; </font></p><p align="justify"><font >Mr. Sandeep said his brother&rsquo;s murder had to be the handiwork of an influential person. &ldquo;Only someone who has money and clout would dare to attack him.&rdquo; <br /></font></p>

Custody for 3 in RTI activist murder case

Three persons were sent on Saturday to police custody till January 25 in connection with the murder of RTI activist Satish Shetty (39). The three were identified as Vijay Dabhade, Parshuram Telugu and Pramod Waghmore. “Dabhade is a lawyer, Waghmore is a clerk in his office, while Telugu was one of Dabhade’s clients,” Bhausaheb Andhalkar, an officer of the Pune Rural police’s local crime branch heading one of the five teams probing the case, told The Hindu. They were produced before the Wadgaon Maval Judicial Magistrate First Class. Mr. Andhalkar said a tiff between Dabhade and Shetty dated back to 2002. In 2008, Dabhade was charged for attempting to murder Shetty. The victim’s younger brother Sandeep said Shetty had exposed the irregularities in the construction of Dabhade’s bungalow. He, however, told The Hindu he did not think these people were involved in the murder. “The police have a theory, but they are yet to prove anything. They haven’t conducted any inquiries about the main suspects I had named in my statement.” Mr. Sandeep said his brother’s murder had to be the handiwork of an influential person. “Only someone who has money and clout would dare to attack him.”
