                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India<br /><br /><em>SHIMLA: </em>The exemplary courage shown by the Delhi gang rape victim has motivated a 15-year-old dalit girl from the remote village of Sirmaur district to stand up against the landlord who had been sexually exploiting her for last around five months. Lodging her complaint, the victim told the cops that bravery of the Delhi girl had prompted her to speak up. Police have arrested the accused.<br /><br />Sources said in her complaint lodged at Shillai police station, the girl has alleged that on August 14 last year when she was returning home from school, accused Sher Singh (52) stopped her and forcibly took her to a nearby field and violated her. The victim told the cops that the accused threatened her to keep her lips sealed or else he would take back the land given to her father for cultivation.<br /><br />The victim complained that her father worked on the land of the accused and the accused used to frequent their house. Initially, he used to pass lewd comments on her but she remained silent and staved off his advances.<br /><br />The girl's silence made the accused rape her twice, resulting in the victim getting pregnant. When the accused came to know about the pregnancy, he got it terminated by giving her some medicines, claimed the girl in her complaint. Recently, she narrated the entire trauma to her mother and sister after which they brought the matter to the notice of police. On the victim's complaint, an FIR under sections 376 and 506 was registered at Shillai police station and the accused was put behind bars.<br /><br />Sirmaur SP Rameshwar Thakur said that accused Sher Singh has been arrested and on Monday, he would be presented before the court. &quot;We are getting the medical examination of victim done so that it could be established whether the accused forced her to abort the pregnancy,&quot; said the SP.</div>

                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India<br /><br /><em>SHIMLA: </em>The exemplary courage shown by the Delhi gang rape victim has motivated a 15-year-old dalit girl from the remote village of Sirmaur district to stand up against the landlord who had been sexually exploiting her for last around five months. Lodging her complaint, the victim told the cops that bravery of the Delhi girl had prompted her to speak up. Police have arrested the accused.<br /><br />Sources said in her complaint lodged at Shillai police station, the girl has alleged that on August 14 last year when she was returning home from school, accused Sher Singh (52) stopped her and forcibly took her to a nearby field and violated her. The victim told the cops that the accused threatened her to keep her lips sealed or else he would take back the land given to her father for cultivation.<br /><br />The victim complained that her father worked on the land of the accused and the accused used to frequent their house. Initially, he used to pass lewd comments on her but she remained silent and staved off his advances.<br /><br />The girl's silence made the accused rape her twice, resulting in the victim getting pregnant. When the accused came to know about the pregnancy, he got it terminated by giving her some medicines, claimed the girl in her complaint. Recently, she narrated the entire trauma to her mother and sister after which they brought the matter to the notice of police. On the victim's complaint, an FIR under sections 376 and 506 was registered at Shillai police station and the accused was put behind bars.<br /><br />Sirmaur SP Rameshwar Thakur said that accused Sher Singh has been arrested and on Monday, he would be presented before the court. &quot;We are getting the medical examination of victim done so that it could be established whether the accused forced her to abort the pregnancy,&quot; said the SP.</div>

                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India<br /><br /><em>SHIMLA: </em>The exemplary courage shown by the Delhi gang rape victim has motivated a 15-year-old dalit girl from the remote village of Sirmaur district to stand up against the landlord who had been sexually exploiting her for last around five months. Lodging her complaint, the victim told the cops that bravery of the Delhi girl had prompted her to speak up. Police have arrested the accused.<br /><br />Sources said in her complaint lodged at Shillai police station, the girl has alleged that on August 14 last year when she was returning home from school, accused Sher Singh (52) stopped her and forcibly took her to a nearby field and violated her. The victim told the cops that the accused threatened her to keep her lips sealed or else he would take back the land given to her father for cultivation.<br /><br />The victim complained that her father worked on the land of the accused and the accused used to frequent their house. Initially, he used to pass lewd comments on her but she remained silent and staved off his advances.<br /><br />The girl's silence made the accused rape her twice, resulting in the victim getting pregnant. When the accused came to know about the pregnancy, he got it terminated by giving her some medicines, claimed the girl in her complaint. Recently, she narrated the entire trauma to her mother and sister after which they brought the matter to the notice of police. On the victim's complaint, an FIR under sections 376 and 506 was registered at Shillai police station and the accused was put behind bars.<br /><br />Sirmaur SP Rameshwar Thakur said that accused Sher Singh has been arrested and on Monday, he would be presented before the court. &quot;We are getting the medical examination of victim done so that it could be established whether the accused forced her to abort the pregnancy,&quot; said the SP.</div>

Dalit rape victim gets landlord arrested in Himachal Pradesh

-The Times of India SHIMLA: The exemplary courage shown by the Delhi gang rape victim has motivated a 15-year-old dalit girl from the remote village of Sirmaur district to stand up against the landlord who had been sexually exploiting her for last around five months. Lodging her complaint, the victim told the cops that bravery of the Delhi girl had prompted her to speak up. Police have arrested the accused. Sources said in her complaint lodged at Shillai police station, the girl has alleged that on August 14 last year when she was returning home from school, accused Sher Singh (52) stopped her and forcibly took her to a nearby field and violated her. The victim told the cops that the accused threatened her to keep her lips sealed or else he would take back the land given to her father for cultivation. The victim complained that her father worked on the land of the accused and the accused used to frequent their house. Initially, he used to pass lewd comments on her but she remained silent and staved off his advances. The girl's silence made the accused rape her twice, resulting in the victim getting pregnant. When the accused came to know about the pregnancy, he got it terminated by giving her some medicines, claimed the girl in her complaint. Recently, she narrated the entire trauma to her mother and sister after which they brought the matter to the notice of police. On the victim's complaint, an FIR under sections 376 and 506 was registered at Shillai police station and the accused was put behind bars. Sirmaur SP Rameshwar Thakur said that accused Sher Singh has been arrested and on Monday, he would be presented before the court. "We are getting the medical examination of victim done so that it could be established whether the accused forced her to abort the pregnancy," said the SP.
