Delhi logs over 1,500 fresh Covid cases; positivity rate at 8.4% -Amit Bhardwaj

Delhi has reported more than 1,500 new coronavirus cases along with three deaths due to the infection.

With 1,530 new Covid cases on Sunday, Delhi has recorded more than 1,000 cases for the fifth day in a row.

The national capital also saw three deaths due to the infection. The positivity rate jumped from 7.7% on Saturday to 8.41%, while the number of active cases stands at 5,542.

As many as 18,183 swab samples were tested.

While 3,783 patients have opted for home isolation, 232 are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.

To keep corona cases in check, the health department has ramped up vaccination. As many as 37,501 people were vaccinated on Sunday. Yesterday, Delhi recorded 1,535 fresh cases.
