And there are eight reasons why the BJP doesn&rsquo;t want to face the report in Parliament. <br /><br />New Delhi: </em>The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily, has concluded in its draft report that demonetisation, announced by the Narendra Modi government in November 2016, had led to at least one percentage point decline in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The draft report also says that the move to ban high-currency Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on the night of November 8, 2016 led to unemployment in informal sectors due to cash crunch.<br /><br />However, this report has been stalled by Bharatiya Janata Party members on the parliamentary panel.                             <div align="justify">-TimesNowNews.com<br /><br /><em>Times Now has accessed the demonetisation draft report which has upset the BJP, whose MPs want the report suppressed. And there are eight reasons why the BJP doesn&rsquo;t want to face the report in Parliament. <br /><br />New Delhi: </em>The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily, has concluded in its draft report that demonetisation, announced by the Narendra Modi government in November 2016, had led to at least one percentage point decline in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The draft report also says that the move to ban high-currency Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on the night of November 8, 2016 led to unemployment in informal sectors due to cash crunch.<br /><br />However, this report has been stalled by Bharatiya Janata Party members on the parliamentary panel. And there are eight reasons why the BJP doesn&rsquo;t want to face the report in Parliament. <br /><br />New Delhi: </em>The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily, has concluded in its draft report that demonetisation, announced by the Narendra Modi government in November 2016, had led to at least one percentage point decline in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The draft report also says that the move to ban high-currency Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on the night of November 8, 2016 led to unemployment in informal sectors due to cash crunch.<br /><br />However, this report has been stalled by Bharatiya Janata Party members on the parliamentary panel. Demonetisation findings accessed: Eight reasons why BJP wants DeMo report buried

And there are eight reasons why the BJP doesn’t want to face the report in Parliament. New Delhi: The Parliamentary Standing Committee on Finance, headed by Congress leader Veerappa Moily, has concluded in its draft report that demonetisation, announced by the Narendra Modi government in November 2016, had led to at least one percentage point decline in the Gross Domestic Product (GDP). The draft report also says that the move to ban high-currency Rs 500 and Rs 1000 notes on the night of November 8, 2016 led to unemployment in informal sectors due to cash crunch. However, this report has been stalled by Bharatiya Janata Party members on the parliamentary panel. Former prime minister Manmohan Singh is also part of the committee whose draft report on demonetisation is critical of the Narendra Modi government's note-ban decision. The BJP MPs, who hold majority in the 31-member committee, opposed the report and backed a dissent note written by their colleague Nishikant Dubey to Moily. "Demonetisation was the mother of all reforms," Dubey wrote while adding that demonetisation was supported by citizens from across the country in the national interest.
