                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India</div><p align="justify"><br /><em>LUCKNOW: </em>Learning a lesson from the lavish anniversary bash of the United Progressive Alliance, which had a number of exquisite food items, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to invest less on food items served during the December 28, 2013 swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal held at Delhi's Ramlila Ground, and settled for Rs 405 per head, while the overall expenses stood at Rs 6,33,802.</p><p align="justify">This is in stark contrast to the UPA's anniversary bash in which the non-vegetarian dinner package was ordered from Taj Palace Hotel (Sardar Patel Marg, Diplomatic Enclave) for 300 guests, and was worth Rs 6,30,874. The per head cost incurred on the lavish food was Rs 1,525 for the event, which lasted for nearly 5 hours (7.00 pm to midnight).</p><p align="justify">Information furnished by the administrative branch of the general administrative department, government of national capital territory of Delhi under the Right to Information Act, 2005, also states that the vegetarian high tea was a part of the catering arrangement, and meant for 50 persons. Mathematically, the overall cost of the catering arrangement (including the service charge and other taxes) comes to be Rs 26,711.</p><p align="justify">The total expenses incurred on advertisements were Rs 6,07,091, which were mainly in form of advertisements, which appeared in various English and Hindi newspapers. The advertisements appeared for two consecutive days - December 27 and 28 in eight newspapers (The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Mail Today, The Pioneer, Nav Bharat Times, Hindustan Hindi, Dainik Jagran and Punjab Kesari). The size of the advertisement was 208 square centimetres (16cm x 13 cm), whose order was placed on December 26.</p><p align="justify">However, the Delhi government could not furnish the expenses incurred on flower arrangements and electricity. Apart from this, the Delhi government could also not ascertain how many persons actually attended the swearing-in ceremony of Kejriwal.</p><p align="justify">RTI document available with TOI states that in the UPA anniversary bash, out of 522 guests invited to the function, only 300 turned up. The total cost incurred on floral decoration was Rs 10,896, while electricity charges for the day was Rs 3,03,770. The bills pertaining to catering and tent charges are still &quot;under process&quot;, and as per RTI documents, they stand at Rs 6,30,874 and Rs 11,15,819 respectively. The sum total of these charges is Rs 20,61,359.</p>

                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India</div><p align="justify"><br /><em>LUCKNOW: </em>Learning a lesson from the lavish anniversary bash of the United Progressive Alliance, which had a number of exquisite food items, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to invest less on food items served during the December 28, 2013 swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal held at Delhi's Ramlila Ground, and settled for Rs 405 per head, while the overall expenses stood at Rs 6,33,802.</p><p align="justify">This is in stark contrast to the UPA's anniversary bash in which the non-vegetarian dinner package was ordered from Taj Palace Hotel (Sardar Patel Marg, Diplomatic Enclave) for 300 guests, and was worth Rs 6,30,874. The per head cost incurred on the lavish food was Rs 1,525 for the event, which lasted for nearly 5 hours (7.00 pm to midnight).</p><p align="justify">Information furnished by the administrative branch of the general administrative department, government of national capital territory of Delhi under the Right to Information Act, 2005, also states that the vegetarian high tea was a part of the catering arrangement, and meant for 50 persons. Mathematically, the overall cost of the catering arrangement (including the service charge and other taxes) comes to be Rs 26,711.</p><p align="justify">The total expenses incurred on advertisements were Rs 6,07,091, which were mainly in form of advertisements, which appeared in various English and Hindi newspapers. The advertisements appeared for two consecutive days - December 27 and 28 in eight newspapers (The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Mail Today, The Pioneer, Nav Bharat Times, Hindustan Hindi, Dainik Jagran and Punjab Kesari). The size of the advertisement was 208 square centimetres (16cm x 13 cm), whose order was placed on December 26.</p><p align="justify">However, the Delhi government could not furnish the expenses incurred on flower arrangements and electricity. Apart from this, the Delhi government could also not ascertain how many persons actually attended the swearing-in ceremony of Kejriwal.</p><p align="justify">RTI document available with TOI states that in the UPA anniversary bash, out of 522 guests invited to the function, only 300 turned up. The total cost incurred on floral decoration was Rs 10,896, while electricity charges for the day was Rs 3,03,770. The bills pertaining to catering and tent charges are still &quot;under process&quot;, and as per RTI documents, they stand at Rs 6,30,874 and Rs 11,15,819 respectively. The sum total of these charges is Rs 20,61,359.</p>

                            <div align="justify">-The Times of India</div><p align="justify"><br /><em>LUCKNOW: </em>Learning a lesson from the lavish anniversary bash of the United Progressive Alliance, which had a number of exquisite food items, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to invest less on food items served during the December 28, 2013 swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal held at Delhi's Ramlila Ground, and settled for Rs 405 per head, while the overall expenses stood at Rs 6,33,802.</p><p align="justify">This is in stark contrast to the UPA's anniversary bash in which the non-vegetarian dinner package was ordered from Taj Palace Hotel (Sardar Patel Marg, Diplomatic Enclave) for 300 guests, and was worth Rs 6,30,874. The per head cost incurred on the lavish food was Rs 1,525 for the event, which lasted for nearly 5 hours (7.00 pm to midnight).</p><p align="justify">Information furnished by the administrative branch of the general administrative department, government of national capital territory of Delhi under the Right to Information Act, 2005, also states that the vegetarian high tea was a part of the catering arrangement, and meant for 50 persons. Mathematically, the overall cost of the catering arrangement (including the service charge and other taxes) comes to be Rs 26,711.</p><p align="justify">The total expenses incurred on advertisements were Rs 6,07,091, which were mainly in form of advertisements, which appeared in various English and Hindi newspapers. The advertisements appeared for two consecutive days - December 27 and 28 in eight newspapers (The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Mail Today, The Pioneer, Nav Bharat Times, Hindustan Hindi, Dainik Jagran and Punjab Kesari). The size of the advertisement was 208 square centimetres (16cm x 13 cm), whose order was placed on December 26.</p><p align="justify">However, the Delhi government could not furnish the expenses incurred on flower arrangements and electricity. Apart from this, the Delhi government could also not ascertain how many persons actually attended the swearing-in ceremony of Kejriwal.</p><p align="justify">RTI document available with TOI states that in the UPA anniversary bash, out of 522 guests invited to the function, only 300 turned up. The total cost incurred on floral decoration was Rs 10,896, while electricity charges for the day was Rs 3,03,770. The bills pertaining to catering and tent charges are still &quot;under process&quot;, and as per RTI documents, they stand at Rs 6,30,874 and Rs 11,15,819 respectively. The sum total of these charges is Rs 20,61,359.</p>

Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony expenses equal to food bill of UPA's anniversary bash -Arunav Sinha

-The Times of India LUCKNOW: Learning a lesson from the lavish anniversary bash of the United Progressive Alliance, which had a number of exquisite food items, the Aam Aadmi Party decided to invest less on food items served during the December 28, 2013 swearing-in ceremony of Arvind Kejriwal held at Delhi's Ramlila Ground, and settled for Rs 405 per head, while the overall expenses stood at Rs 6,33,802. This is in stark contrast to the UPA's anniversary bash in which the non-vegetarian dinner package was ordered from Taj Palace Hotel (Sardar Patel Marg, Diplomatic Enclave) for 300 guests, and was worth Rs 6,30,874. The per head cost incurred on the lavish food was Rs 1,525 for the event, which lasted for nearly 5 hours (7.00 pm to midnight). Information furnished by the administrative branch of the general administrative department, government of national capital territory of Delhi under the Right to Information Act, 2005, also states that the vegetarian high tea was a part of the catering arrangement, and meant for 50 persons. Mathematically, the overall cost of the catering arrangement (including the service charge and other taxes) comes to be Rs 26,711. The total expenses incurred on advertisements were Rs 6,07,091, which were mainly in form of advertisements, which appeared in various English and Hindi newspapers. The advertisements appeared for two consecutive days - December 27 and 28 in eight newspapers (The Times of India, Hindustan Times, Mail Today, The Pioneer, Nav Bharat Times, Hindustan Hindi, Dainik Jagran and Punjab Kesari). The size of the advertisement was 208 square centimetres (16cm x 13 cm), whose order was placed on December 26. However, the Delhi government could not furnish the expenses incurred on flower arrangements and electricity. Apart from this, the Delhi government could also not ascertain how many persons actually attended the swearing-in ceremony of Kejriwal. RTI document available with TOI states that in the UPA anniversary bash, out of 522 guests invited to the function, only 300 turned up. The total cost incurred on floral decoration was Rs 10,896, while electricity charges for the day was Rs 3,03,770. The bills pertaining to catering and tent charges are still "under process", and as per RTI documents, they stand at Rs 6,30,874 and Rs 11,15,819 respectively. The sum total of these charges is Rs 20,61,359.
