                            <p style="text-align:justify">-TheWire.in</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>An investigation into the scheme&#39;s operations in eight districts by the state accountant general has revealed leakages in several areas of the scheme, from the identification of beneficiaries to the production amounts, transport and quality control.</em></p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>New Delhi: </em>A recent report by Madhya Pradesh&rsquo;s accountant general has revealed large-scale corruption in several stages of the state&rsquo;s free nutrition scheme for women and children &ndash; the Take Home Ration (THR) scheme, according to a report by NDTV.</p><p style="text-align:justify">Based on an investigation of around 24% (around 12 lakh) of the scheme&rsquo;s 45.98 lakh registered intended beneficiaries, the accountant general produced a 36-page report which highlighted leakages and corruption at various stages of delivery &ndash; from fake trucks for transporting the ration to inflated numbers of registered beneficiaries.</p><p style="text-align:justify">The accountant general has reportedly written to the chief secretary to further investigate the matter and fix responsibility.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">Of the total number of women and children registered under the scheme, there are 34.69 lakh children aged between six months and three years; 14.25 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers; and 0.64 lakh adolescent out-of-school girl children aged between 11 and 14.</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>Inflated number of beneficiaries</em></p><p style="text-align:justify">In 2018, the Union and state governments had directed the department of Women and Child Development (WCD) to identify the number of schoolgirls who would be eligible for free rations under the scheme by April of that year.                             <p style="text-align:justify">-TheWire.in</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>An investigation into the scheme&#39;s operations in eight districts by the state accountant general has revealed leakages in several areas of the scheme, from the identification of beneficiaries to the production amounts, transport and quality control.</em></p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>New Delhi: </em>A recent report by Madhya Pradesh&rsquo;s accountant general has revealed large-scale corruption in several stages of the state&rsquo;s free nutrition scheme for women and children &ndash; the Take Home Ration (THR) scheme, according to a report by NDTV.</p><p style="text-align:justify">Based on an investigation of around 24% (around 12 lakh) of the scheme&rsquo;s 45.98 lakh registered intended beneficiaries, the accountant general produced a 36-page report which highlighted leakages and corruption at various stages of delivery &ndash; from fake trucks for transporting the ration to inflated numbers of registered beneficiaries.</p><p style="text-align:justify">The accountant general has reportedly written to the chief secretary to further investigate the matter and fix responsibility.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">Of the total number of women and children registered under the scheme, there are 34.69 lakh children aged between six months and three years; 14.25 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers; and 0.64 lakh adolescent out-of-school girl children aged between 11 and 14.</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>Inflated number of beneficiaries</em></p><p style="text-align:justify">In 2018, the Union and state governments had directed the department of Women and Child Development (WCD) to identify the number of schoolgirls who would be eligible for free rations under the scheme by April of that year.                             <p style="text-align:justify">-TheWire.in</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>An investigation into the scheme&#39;s operations in eight districts by the state accountant general has revealed leakages in several areas of the scheme, from the identification of beneficiaries to the production amounts, transport and quality control.</em></p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>New Delhi: </em>A recent report by Madhya Pradesh&rsquo;s accountant general has revealed large-scale corruption in several stages of the state&rsquo;s free nutrition scheme for women and children &ndash; the Take Home Ration (THR) scheme, according to a report by NDTV.</p><p style="text-align:justify">Based on an investigation of around 24% (around 12 lakh) of the scheme&rsquo;s 45.98 lakh registered intended beneficiaries, the accountant general produced a 36-page report which highlighted leakages and corruption at various stages of delivery &ndash; from fake trucks for transporting the ration to inflated numbers of registered beneficiaries.</p><p style="text-align:justify">The accountant general has reportedly written to the chief secretary to further investigate the matter and fix responsibility.&nbsp;</p><p style="text-align:justify">Of the total number of women and children registered under the scheme, there are 34.69 lakh children aged between six months and three years; 14.25 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers; and 0.64 lakh adolescent out-of-school girl children aged between 11 and 14.</p><p style="text-align:justify"><em>Inflated number of beneficiaries</em></p><p style="text-align:justify">In 2018, the Union and state governments had directed the department of Women and Child Development (WCD) to identify the number of schoolgirls who would be eligible for free rations under the scheme by April of that year. 'Large-Scale Fraud' Revealed in Madhya Pradesh's 'Take Home Ration' Scheme: Report

-TheWire.in An investigation into the scheme's operations in eight districts by the state accountant general has revealed leakages in several areas of the scheme, from the identification of beneficiaries to the production amounts, transport and quality control. New Delhi: A recent report by Madhya Pradesh’s accountant general has revealed large-scale corruption in several stages of the state’s free nutrition scheme for women and children – the Take Home Ration (THR) scheme, according to a report by NDTV. Based on an investigation of around 24% (around 12 lakh) of the scheme’s 45.98 lakh registered intended beneficiaries, the accountant general produced a 36-page report which highlighted leakages and corruption at various stages of delivery – from fake trucks for transporting the ration to inflated numbers of registered beneficiaries. The accountant general has reportedly written to the chief secretary to further investigate the matter and fix responsibility.  Of the total number of women and children registered under the scheme, there are 34.69 lakh children aged between six months and three years; 14.25 lakh pregnant women and lactating mothers; and 0.64 lakh adolescent out-of-school girl children aged between 11 and 14. Inflated number of beneficiaries In 2018, the Union and state governments had directed the department of Women and Child Development (WCD) to identify the number of schoolgirls who would be eligible for free rations under the scheme by April of that year.
