                            <font ><br /></font><div align="justify"><font >Indefinite Mazdoor Satyagraha has been started at the Statue Circle in Jaipur against the irregularities in National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) programmes in the state.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO Rozgar Evum Suchna ke Adhikar ka Abhiyan (RA Abhiyan) oganized a Mazdoor Haq Yatra from September 15, 2010 - October 1, 2010 to fulfill the demands of workers.</font><br /><br /><font >The agitation was launched following irregularities in NREGA schemes in the state. The NGO RA Abhiyan has been demanding hike in the daily wages upto Rs 200 from existing Rs 100.</font><br /><br /><font >The NREGA scheme guarantees each rural individual, who applies for work, 100 days of employment (per family) at minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO said that the Central Government froze wages under the Act at Rs. 100 per day in January 2009.&nbsp; As a result, NREGA wages are now less than minimum wage and with inflation have also fallen in nominal terms, RA Abhiyan claims.</font><br /><br /><font >The Mazdoor Satyagraha are also demanding increase employment days per family from 100 to 200.</font><br /><br /><font >Central government must respect the sanctity of minimum wages and thus must remove the wage freeze to pay minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >They are also demanding to link minimum wage with Dearness Allowance index for government workers.</font><br /><br /></div>

                            <font ><br /></font><div align="justify"><font >Indefinite Mazdoor Satyagraha has been started at the Statue Circle in Jaipur against the irregularities in National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) programmes in the state.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO Rozgar Evum Suchna ke Adhikar ka Abhiyan (RA Abhiyan) oganized a Mazdoor Haq Yatra from September 15, 2010 - October 1, 2010 to fulfill the demands of workers.</font><br /><br /><font >The agitation was launched following irregularities in NREGA schemes in the state. The NGO RA Abhiyan has been demanding hike in the daily wages upto Rs 200 from existing Rs 100.</font><br /><br /><font >The NREGA scheme guarantees each rural individual, who applies for work, 100 days of employment (per family) at minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO said that the Central Government froze wages under the Act at Rs. 100 per day in January 2009.&nbsp; As a result, NREGA wages are now less than minimum wage and with inflation have also fallen in nominal terms, RA Abhiyan claims.</font><br /><br /><font >The Mazdoor Satyagraha are also demanding increase employment days per family from 100 to 200.</font><br /><br /><font >Central government must respect the sanctity of minimum wages and thus must remove the wage freeze to pay minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >They are also demanding to link minimum wage with Dearness Allowance index for government workers.</font><br /><br /></div>

                            <font ><br /></font><div align="justify"><font >Indefinite Mazdoor Satyagraha has been started at the Statue Circle in Jaipur against the irregularities in National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) programmes in the state.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO Rozgar Evum Suchna ke Adhikar ka Abhiyan (RA Abhiyan) oganized a Mazdoor Haq Yatra from September 15, 2010 - October 1, 2010 to fulfill the demands of workers.</font><br /><br /><font >The agitation was launched following irregularities in NREGA schemes in the state. The NGO RA Abhiyan has been demanding hike in the daily wages upto Rs 200 from existing Rs 100.</font><br /><br /><font >The NREGA scheme guarantees each rural individual, who applies for work, 100 days of employment (per family) at minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >The NGO said that the Central Government froze wages under the Act at Rs. 100 per day in January 2009.&nbsp; As a result, NREGA wages are now less than minimum wage and with inflation have also fallen in nominal terms, RA Abhiyan claims.</font><br /><br /><font >The Mazdoor Satyagraha are also demanding increase employment days per family from 100 to 200.</font><br /><br /><font >Central government must respect the sanctity of minimum wages and thus must remove the wage freeze to pay minimum wage.</font><br /><br /><font >They are also demanding to link minimum wage with Dearness Allowance index for government workers.</font><br /><br /></div>

Mazdoor Satyagraha against NREGA irregularities

Indefinite Mazdoor Satyagraha has been started at the Statue Circle in Jaipur against the irregularities in National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (NREGA) programmes in the state. The NGO Rozgar Evum Suchna ke Adhikar ka Abhiyan (RA Abhiyan) oganized a Mazdoor Haq Yatra from September 15, 2010 - October 1, 2010 to fulfill the demands of workers. The agitation was launched following irregularities in NREGA schemes in the state. The NGO RA Abhiyan has been demanding hike in the daily wages upto Rs 200 from existing Rs 100. The NREGA scheme guarantees each rural individual, who applies for work, 100 days of employment (per family) at minimum wage. The NGO said that the Central Government froze wages under the Act at Rs. 100 per day in January 2009.  As a result, NREGA wages are now less than minimum wage and with inflation have also fallen in nominal terms, RA Abhiyan claims. The Mazdoor Satyagraha are also demanding increase employment days per family from 100 to 200. Central government must respect the sanctity of minimum wages and thus must remove the wage freeze to pay minimum wage. They are also demanding to link minimum wage with Dearness Allowance index for government workers.
