MP has maximum pro-poor schemes: CM

The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that Madhya Pradesh has maximum number of pro-poor schemes. The state is spending fifty percent of its budget for poverty alleviation. A provision of Rs. 15 crore has been made for organizing Antyodaya Melas so that the poor families get benefits at one place. He was addressing a function at Jamboori ground here today. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was weighed in blood by the Madhya Pradesh Panchayat Sachiv Sangathan.

Chouhan said that the emotional gesture to honour him by weighing in blood is unforgettable. He said that this reminds us to serve the humanity selflessly. He said that passion to serve the poor promotes a work culture in favour of the people.

The Chief Minister said that the cadre of Panchayat Secretary will have facilities at par with other cadres and gradually their demands will be taken care of. He exhorted them to serve the people honestly. Their outstanding performance would be rewarded befittingly he added.

Minister for Rural Development and Panchayat Gopal Bhargava said that Panchayat Secretaries are now integral part of a large administrative system. They have responsibility of serving 70 percent of population. He informed that the department will soon have a cell, that will initiative action against negligent officials and can even recommend termination from the services within 24 hours.

National General Secretary of BJP Narendra Singh Tomar described the role of Panchayat Secretaries as important saying that active Panchayats can lead Madhya Pradesh to glory. He urged the Panchayat Secretaries to work for realizing the vision of Shivraj Singh Chouhan to make Madhya Pradesh a prosperous state.

President of the Sangathan Dinesh Sharma, in his welcome speech informed that blood donation cell is being set up at Janapad Panchayat headquarters. Minister of State for Panchayat and Rural Development Dev Singh Singh Sayyam, former Minister Kamal Patel were present.

Chouhan inaugurated state level Mukya Mantri Blood Donation Cell and released MP3 Album that underlines importance of blood donation. He felicitated lyricist and music composer of of the album Sanjay Nagar and Gaurishankar Sharma, child artiste Baby Muskan. Guests were welcomed by a huge garland made of 23 thousand flowers.
